Can Dallas wait to draft a WR?

I could see them getting their LB at 19...WR at 50.

but if they are trading that 50th pick...that WR you like wont be there in the 3rd so they take him at 19.

Im fine with Ridley,Sutton or Moore at 19.
not like its not a need.

I think this is spot on. If they are trading 50 for Earl Thomas, they are likely going WR at 19. If not, they can get best available defender at 19, and WR at 50 (or a small trade up).

Listening to the Draft show on DC.com, the depth at WR is much larger than the depth of quality LB's and 4-3 Dline players. Therefore, it will be interesting to see if Dallas feels the need to select one of the Defense players first and focus on WR later.

I hope that's the case but I don't trust 'em.

Defense doesn't sell tickets. It just builds championships.
Do you think more Seattle fans came to see the legion of boom or the hawks offense. Did more bronco fans come to see ware and vonn Miller and the no fly zone or their offense. Did ditka's defense sell the tickets or was it McMahon and their offense. The reality is great offenses and defenses both win super bowls and both sell tickets. The mob is a fickle lot.

I don’t draft WR until 3rd at earliest

Hurns - two years left
Williams - three years left
Beasley - one year left
Thompson - one year left

Brown, Switzer under rookie contracts

I’d make a move next year. We need a speed guy. Not another big body who is not explosive

We definitely can find one in the 2nd round down.

Out of curiosity, how many of the top guys in this class are obvious upgrades over Hurns/Beasley/Williams? Ridley and Moore? Or does it go deeper than that? As much as I'd like to have some options in that group, spending a top 50 pick for what I generally think is a marginal upgrade isn't all that smart. Not when there are clear and significant upgrades to be had at positions like LG, ILB, and DT.

At WR, we want a guy who can come in and give us 30-50 catches and 400-600 yards. Somebody to be another option as we spread the ball around. We don't need a game breaker or a WR1....which is good, because that guy really isn't in this class, anyway.

Not in Big D the last 20 years. And they are the ones running the show.

With Dak at QB draft OFF-LINEMAN and correctly stated another HB.
Big D has a passing game that is basically our biggest liability!
WR are worthless here!

There is no WR in this draft great... You would think with all the talk, there was the second coming of Jerry Rice in this draft or something.

??? Huh "That's not his thing"? What throwing the ball? He is a qb after all and as much as you hate to admit it has had a pretty fantastic 1st 2 years in the NFL compared to other rookie qbs....he struggled through half the year last year and some of you are acting like he's Quincy Carter part deux....give it a rest
Wide receivers have not done well with Dak at any level. He prefers tight ends and slot guys.

Not trying to be ugly, but what real value does a wide receiver have when Dak is your quarterback? That's not his thing.

I don't think Antonio Brown could catch 90 balls here.
That's just a stupid thing to say. Dak was named ROY with a rookie teammate who had over 1,800 yards rushing. He struggled last season with a LT with a bad back, & his Pro Bowl RB out half the year. Most QBs struggle when two Pro Bowl players are missing from their offense.

It's just like your FFL draft.....if there is a rush at WR, then you have no choice but to move to get a WR

Amazing we just devalued having an elite WR justifying the release of Dez and we’re ready to draft another one in the1st round. Lol

Unless they think they are getting someone who will contribute now they should think about waiting.
