If they don't want a run stopper then they better move on Navarro Bowman at MLB because we don't have anyone at LB who can stop the run or take on a Guard. I like Jaylon but lets not pretend he is a speedster with McFadden level of chicken legs.

Or pray the Giants don't draft Barkley b/c we're gonna need a run stopper if they do. Can't load the box with OBJ running all over the field.

At DT consideration at 1 tech, they do not want "just" a run stopper, they want a player that can do both run stop and pass rush.

LB is another issue.

Deal a 3 for Thomas. If you can’t extend him you get back at least a 4 as a comp pick. But who knows if Seattle will come down that far

They have to wait on signing someone like Bowman so it doesn’t mess with their comp picks. Think I read mid May is the cutoff

Sounds like LB and WR are priorities and S, OL are secondary positions of interests . Mentioned a DT with 3 technique traits if he’s good value.
I didn't see the press conference but are these positions the team mentioned or were they being asked questions about these holes and they were forced to respond?

From what I've read is Bowman wants to be paid as a 3 down LB and the Raiders see him as a 2 down guy and are willing to pay him accordingly. Pretty much only the Raiders are mentioned with him, unless something new came out recently.

McFadden ran a 4.33 coming out of college, and although I can't say what Smith can do now, at one time he ran a 4.5. Those are very fast times.

I have the feeling Bowman doesn't want to move his family out of the bay area. The Raiders may know this and realize they can bring him back cheapish.
The guy had over 100 tackles last year, has been to a few pro bowls and fills a position we really need.
I will be disappointed if we don't make a play for him.....although maybe we did and we don't know it. Its not like they announce every free agents who we call.

Sorry. I had a typo in my original post. I meant to say Jaylon was a speedster with Chicken Legs.

Great, my most favorite thing Jerry does. Ramble to the press two days before the draft giving all kinds of clues about what they are going to do. It’s no wonder Dallas sees teams trade up right in front of them numerous times every year. I think the whole league knows who Dallas is targeting in each round every year.

I'm not sure if he's really giving away things or if he's confusing things or even why he's talking about it at all. Seems to me the best thing would be to stay silent because there isn't much to gain by talking, and there is the potential his words may come back to bite him.

Ultimately I think a lot of Jerry's motivation is just to get and keep people talking. I think he believes as long as people are talking about his team there will be interest in his team.

I want them to draft Barkley.

They have no oline and Barkley hasn't shown he can run for tough yards.

He's more athlete then anything at this point. Give me Guice a round later. Way better value and has shown more traditional NFL runs.

You have to play dirty in the NFL at RB and right now he's more Reggie Bush coming out of college then he is Zeke. The talent is immense though but not worth passing on for a book end Defensive end or a potential Eli replacement.

Odell Beckham is a fools gold player. Good for highlights. Doesn't do much for winning games.

His amazing catch against Dallas is pretty much his game summed up. Amazing catch but they lost.
