I do not understand posters who constantly hate every thread, every post, every day. I think those that do that have some serious issues. I will not give them a pass and will let them know that being a constant negative Debbie downer will not go unchallenged. You reap what you sow.

I disagree. We went 13-3 2 yrs ago and 9-7 last year with all the suspensions and injuries. Some people, like yourself can’t see that because you feel more comfortable complaining. It’s like a release for you. I totally understand it but it just ruins the board and is so short sighted and naive to put it nicely.

Don't even talk about 9-7. We played against a team with 3rd stringers, more likely a preseason game for Eagles.

Can’t believe I have to defend myself for supporting the Cowboys.
Irony; A condition of affairs or events of a character opposite to what was, or might naturally be, expected; a contradictory outcome of events as if in mockery of the promise and fitness of things.

We’d all feel better if we’re reaping the benefits from our #1 Revenue.

And why Id recommend investing in our sponsors since the Cowboys or the NFL isn’t traded publicly.

Nothing like sharing in the prosperity of the NFL, the Cowboys and their sponsors to uplift our belief in the philosophy.

My broker years ago suggested investing in popular items you consume because most likely others will as well and price will grow over time. He was right!

Thank you for stating the answer to the question. I wonder what your end goal is to that line of action. Are you hoping that the other posters who are complaining will stop posting so many negative comments? Or hoping that they will see something positive in spite of something negative?

The Cowboys Philosophy is let's see what happens this year. And that is not unusual because other then NE, the sun doesn't shine on the same dog's butt every season.

I used to predict the year, which was usually the next year, that they would gel and make a serious run but I've been wrong every time. And not just about the Cowboys but the Vikings as well. We see teams seemingly building towards something only to get derailed. Think any of the Eagles fans actually thought they'd be SB champs this year?

I got to say with the recent history of the changing of the guard in the NFC divisions over the last 3 seasons, I cannot fault this philosophy, it is a new season each season.

With the turnover at the GM and HC level each season, how can they build toward something? We all saw it in 90 and 91, it was coming together because they could keep it together but once FA and the cap became reality, the game changed and only one team has come close to mastering how to stay in the hunt and how does he do it? Except for QB, he has the same philosophy and few make as many changes as Belichick does. He has the philosophy that it is harder to hit a moving target.

I don't have a problem with the Cowboys philosophy, it is their focus too much on the stars and offensive side of the line. If there is a flaw in their philosophy it is that offense wins championships.

Yep..

And that’s assuming we actually have a philosophy.

Sometimes I think we’re just winging it and stumble on to things. Like our Running game.

Initially we drafted OL to protect Romo feeding the ball to Murray. And presto we had a dominating running game. Turned out they couldn’t pass protect anyway. Ha

You know I’m on record for not being a fan of Jerry Jones but I do support Stephen and Garrett. Garrett for only another year. This has only been the case for the last 6 or 7 years. That’s when the Cowboys made the decided to at least try and get Jerry out of the personnel decisions. They started spending wisely in FA instead of the 50 mil for Carr, high draft picks for Williams and Galloway. TO, etc. Since then they’ve made wise decisions and have drafted very well. Sure Jerry screwed this organization up for the most part of his ownership but they’ve turned the corner. We haven’t seen the playoff success yet but that doesn’t mean it’s not coming. There is something to be said about building via the draft and having a young roster sprinkled with a few vets here and there on offense, defense and ST’s. That’s what this team is banking on,,,,young, motivated and naive.

rock---ya...stands to reason younger more naive players make for the boat not rocking as much in locker room too...plus for the exception of some..free agency does not yield the dividends a team often hopes....but the temptation to snag a playmaker whether on offense or defense is too much for many teams...especially the ones that have a ton of money to spend....regardless i still hope somehow some way we can get ET...but Woods although smaller in frame is one "bad" man...and he is very humble too and smart...not only was he all-american as a football player but also academics while at Louisianna tech

And the 13-3 Cowboy record in 2016 that he mentioned would have actually been 14-2 had the Cowboys played all out in the last regular season game. So what? They were the eventual Super Bowl champion - not like it was a bad team. I do feel compelled to mention the Eagles actually played their starters most of the first half. I think the only reason they didn't let their QB play the entire first half was because he was getting hit so much.

Stupid question. I’ve been watching this team, that I can remember, since 63. I’ve been through all the ups and downs. Winning the Super Bowl is not easy. It’s not just talent, it’s not just coaching. It’s both of those and a ton of luck. The ignorant fan will point out the Patriots, but if you look at it, NE consistently plays in the easiest division in the NFL so their path to the playoffs is easier than anyone’s. Luck. Look at all the teams who’ve won Super Bowls with questionable coaches, Don McCafferty, Barry Switzer, Gary Kubiak. Just look at the SB winning NFL QB’s. There’s just as much luck needed as anything else.
Hahaha the NFC east was pretty weak for a long time.
