Rockport is correct, their philosophy is sound. I dont disput that. However the interpretation is not what the fans want. The team is perfectly fine with an average team that makes them money. This is the only part where the team and most of the fans split.
The fans want a winner, the owners want money. If more fans understood this, they would than be happier. You either accept its mediocrity all the way, or you are going to be bummed out. Rockport is fine with the team being this way, he defends this. Thats fine, thats his right and his view. Its up to the rest of us to accept this as i have and just shake your head year in and year out, or try to get mad over what you cant change. JJ doesnt care. No more talknig smack with your friends my fellow fans, the owner isnt looking to win. Fill his playground, let him roll in the money before hes out of here and hes thrilled. Its a sad state of affairs but the organization we grew up to respect and admire is gone. a new wave is taking over and as you can see a ton of people are ok with being middle of the pack.
you want to be successful, you want to look past a sunday, you have to get up, man up, do the right thing and head out that door, it will not be tolerated here in Dallas. That mindset will not be accepted by this team. this ownership has made it real clear, do not get excited for the SB, unless its held in Dallas, than go out and buy a ticket.
I promise you, the Cowboys will go to the SB this year, they just have to buy a ticket like the other fans.
