Would be a terrible pick bar a trade down into the end 20s

Guy is softer than a tissue. We already have enough LBs with health issues.
good point. That neck issue is a big deal. As a football player in general, having a neck issue right out of the gate tends to shorten ones career . I ABSOLUTELY hate the idea of taking a player at 19 that has a .000000001% of a hint of a neck issue.

I afraid I am in total agreement with you. He shows as a great Tarzan athlete who plays like Jane. Bobby Carpenter is a pretty
good representation of LVE. It's going to be another Taco Charlton mistake if we take him. The ideal play is to trade back with
NE or Carolina and get another 3rd or 2nd.

The Thing is Taco was taken at 28th.

Huge Difference between 19 and 28 in the first Round.

Top20 Players Need to be immediate Starters.

Especially when there is a huge Chance of a Top10-15 Player dropping to you because 5 QBs get taken before

negatives...can't cover, misses assignments in pass coverage, and over runs plays..too aggressive at times. RAW...oh and he played in Boise against weak competition.

And Joey Bosa's ceiling is Greg Ellis. Will be JUST ANOTHER GUY at the NFL level. :lmao:

There are only 17 players identified as true 1st round worthy this year by the FO. If we don't trade up we aren't going to get one.
I like the idea of the trade back and take Hernandez and then trade back up to the top of the second and get our X WR.

It's unlikely they have all the qbs with 1st round grades.

Ok, thats ridiculous. Ellis had ONE double digit sack season in his 12 year career. Bosa is 2 for 2 and already has a pro bowl selection. Ellis made one pro bowl his entire career.

If one of those 17 guys is there at 19, you take him. BPA. If there are no legit first rounders on our board at 19, then trade back.

Yes, I agree. There is likely to be 5 qb's taken in the 1st round which will push some players down. I just think neither LVE
or Evans are true 1st round worthy players. Moore, the WR is probably worthy of the pick but, I don't think they will pull the
trigger for him. I still can't see the Cowboys pull the trigger on a 1st round 1tech like Vita Vea but, I could live with it if
we took him.

Where are you getting the can't cover/misses assignments from?

It's listed as one of his strengths on multiple draft sites.

There are many articles floating around that say the cowboys consider Vea more than just a 1 technique.

I know they like LVE and I agree with you that they should take a true 1st round quality player. LVE is not that guy. Just study his tape closely..
He's Bobby Carpenter soft.

I know they do. I think after looking at his tape he is a 1tech who has 3tech traits. He would certainly be disruptive and free up whoever
is going to play the Mike LB.

the games of Boise I watched. Oregon didn't even block him all game. Many of his tackles tend to come after the opponent has gained positive yards downfield. That's a concern. At 19,I want Clay Matthews...a guy that's gonna have a huge impact at LB day1...not a guy who looks the part, but is raw. Boise isn't exactly USC.

I would hope the team that made the bobby carpenter mistake would have learned something about identifying and weeding out such players.

Based on WHAT?

Based on him being white and having nearly identical measurable?

Cons are that he’s got one year of good tape and shot up boards based on the combine. Also the fact that the main reason he’s becoming such a consensus pick for us is because we have a glaring need, that being the driving force is never ideal. Also the (now) persistent rumors lingering about his medical /spinal concerns.

I get why he makes sense but wouldn’t be too thrilled outside of a trade back, netting some extra draft capital. If we stay at 19 and take him it will be pretty underwhelming even though I don’t hate the player
