Lots of rumblingsxtbat the chargers are going to take Vander Esch @ 17 I’m sure a bunch of you are happy.

Did some quick research on Chargers, LVE could be their pick.

They have RT problems, their run defense was awful, and Rivers is going to be 37 toward the end of the season as well.

Hoping they take McGlinchey or Payne, or even Lamar Jackson.

* After the Dallas Cowboys cut Dez Bryant a few weeks ago, the team immediately brought in Courtland Sutton for a workout and social media was ablaze with the belief the SMU junior would be the team’s first-round pick. As we wrote just a few days later, the Cowboys view Sutton as a second-round target. The other big-bodied receiver they are considering in Round 2, assuming they go defense in the first round, is Marcell Ateman of Oklahoma State. Ateman and Sutton worked out side by side for the Cowboys on the same day, which was soon after the team cut Bryant. Ateman is the type of long wideout the Cowboys like, and he has a size advantage over Sutton. As we posted more than two months ago, the other team with a lot of interest in Ateman is the San Francisco 49ers.
If they take ateman in 2 I will EXPLODE

Normally the #1 pick is known in advance. #1 drafting team has plenty of time to assess and make a decision without any time pressures. Its draft day and still no word. I believe one of the following is happening:

1. Its all down to money. Browns are playing the various QBs off each other to get the best value. They'll draft whoever accepts the lowest or least guaranteed contract.Typical Browns.

2. Their preferred QB does not want to play in Cleveland. There's a game of chicken going on - "draft me and I'll sit out for a year........."

#1 is a non-issue. Each draft slot is already allocated a dollar amount. They know what they will get.

Being that they also have the 4th pick in the draft, they're more than likely keeping their options open for that 1st pick until they have the make a decision. A team may want to jump the Giants/Jets.
