People who say that Switzer wasn't given enough of a chance fail to remember that he was injured for large portions of training camp and the pre-season. With limited practice snaps and full pad workouts during the regular season, training camp is where young players get the opportunity to learn and grow. He missed out. Hard to just throw a guy out there in the regular season just to "give him a chance" when they aren't ready. The WR position is hard enough to learn as a rookie when you are practicing and playing in pre-season games.

Didn' the raiders have a worse run defense then the cowboys last season?

Yes, and chalk that all up to one DT named Ward right .You think Collins or Irving was the reason for our very bad run defense last year. I think not. It was the lack of one player not because of one players play

He couldn't handle punt returns. Ruined our game against Rams, also made some bad decisions in other occasions.
He had one fumble because Woods got too close to him as he was catching it. If the coaches wanted him to fair catch it they should have told him. **** like that happens, one play doesn't make a player a bust.

We are still going to have to cut at least one WR so at least we used one to fill a need. It's a good trade for us IMO. Beasley stays in the slot and Austin returns punts. What is Switzer doing for us?

Austin changed positions from WR to RB. Last year he had 13 catches and 59 rush attempts.
His career stats are 194 catches and 184 rush attempts.
He will be the scatback that the coaches wanted Lance Dunbar to be.

Actually I mostly blame marinelli for ou lack of run defense ,but that seems to be forbidden here.are you claiming the cowboys are fine at DT?

I won't miss Switzer's stubborn refusal to fair catch. It potentially cost the Cowboys one game last year. Kid's probably going to end up in a wheelchair if he keeps that up in Oakland.

Most definitely. I know the kid was trying hard to impress but he also made a lot of poor decisions that cost the Cowboys some decent starting field position.

Hmm. Seems you really shouldn't question these coaches (as I read or heard somewhere switzer did after dez did).

As much of a jackass switzer seemed I really thought he had potential for us. We'll see how this turns out in any case

I can see it and hear it already. Game break, Oakland, Switzer returns one for a TD... fans go " I frickin told you we should have kept Switzer. He's a beast". Wait for it

Will that highlight be before or after he costs the Raiders a conference game that will eventually
keep the Raiders out of the playoffs?... lol

If bad run d can be caused by the lack of one player it sure as hell can also be caused by one players horrible play. Not saying it happened but your premise is bs.

I liked Switzer too, but it's a numbers game. Jerry is throwing every WR at Dak that he can to find out who will help him the most. Hurns and Gallop could possibly be our starters. We'll see if Beasley will beat out Austin and if Williams can find a role if he loses the split end gig to Gallop.
Don’t count our Noah Brown
