I’m a huge Romo fan.
He had a bad back from carrying the team for so long.
But good luck with the HOF talk.

I think we will come out to find that the NFL community values Romo higher than some of our “own” fans .. it wouldn’t be surprising to see him in the hall

I was a big Romo fan... But personally I don't think there should be near as many people in the HOF as there is. The standard for the HOF should be extremely high. Just like Witten is not a first ballot HOF, like they keep saying... and he was great. Everything for the HOF should be production based period. What you achieved in your career... Not how wonderful you were in the community, not how many charities you support, etc... If we are basing it by adding that as a criteria, then it just becomes a popularity contest.

I don’t think he’s going to make honestly. But it is going to be a travesty having to watch Eli bumble through his HOF speech. Romo is easily the better QB of the two, but Eli got lucky and had fluke plays and a defense that could hard carry him.

As I stated earlier, I don't think Romo goes into the HOF. But when you look at the folks that retired the same year, he was the best offense player by a long shot. The other issues is that D Ware is eligible the same year, no way they put 2 Cowboys in on the first ballot. But working for CBS will bolster his chances. Maybe he goes in with Witt.. that would be a fun night.

For QBs it’s the Hall of Rings so the truth is he doesn’t meet the requirements. Also he basically didn’t play 5 entire seasons for various reasons and that is a lot of time to miss. The guy I really wonder about is Rivers, he’s basically Romo but will have played long enough to rank really high in the career totals leaderboards when it’s all said and done.

If Troy Aikman and Jim Kelly are in the hall of Fame Tony Romo definitely deserves it. I hate to say it but Aikman was overrated. Romo was a much better QB.

Down the Road Romo will get in as a Player/commentator . Him being a commentator will help him cause he’s so good at it. You can get in as a player / contributer.

You can't compare passing stats of different generations, the game was totally different back than.

I love Romo, he was a great player, but I wouldn't put him in the HOF.

Also, if I had to win 1 playoff game and I could have Romo or Aikman, I would take Aikman every time.

I'd give Aikman the edge for sure,,, but at the same time, if you put Romo on those early 90's teams he'd have at least one Superbowl ring.

Unfortunately, no way he makes it. Worse, any time it's even brought up in the media, it'll be treated like a joke.

Aikman never had to carry the team. The one time he was asked to vs Carolina in 96 (and they we’re only down 6)he blew the game.
