Just wowIt was past time to make a change and credit the Cowboys Front Office and Jason Garrett for pulling the trigger on Baker and several other assistants whose units were not performing up to standards.
If they don’t? They are the worlds biggest idiots. He’s the best film guy in that building. He’s better than the coaches at breaking down the X’s and O’s I’ve learned.I'm just hoping the day Sean Lee retires from playing football, he's hired by the Cowboys to be a coach.
Why Cowboys Have a New DB Coach
http://profootballtalkline.com/nfl/.../115630/why-cowboys-have-a-new-db-coach.html/
The Dallas Cowboys have a new DB Coach and Passing Game Coordinator they scooped up from the Seattle Seahawks and all the right things are being said in regards to the new hire (Kris Richard). What’s not being said is, ‘why the change?’
An example of ‘why’ is a flashback to the Giants scoring a go-ahead TD while the defensive coverage that was called was not able to enact effective coverage on the play and Sean Lee knew it. Unfortunately, his coach was in the dark and again, this is just an example of what Dallas had been experiencing for several seasons with the back seven in the current scheme. Sub-par results caused by design rather than the player’s performance.
Why is Sean Lee so important to Dallas? Here’s the in-game conversation between Lee & Joe Baker (was let go by Dallas this offseason) after NYG scored a TD to go up 10-3. Cowboys coaches called a defense that was physically impossible to execute, and Lee had to tell him so.

I got a raise that way...
I just wonder why that wasn’t addressed during the season. Considering the announcement the staff would be changing due to one message needing to be given was shown at the end of the series, they would have shown conversations addressing the dissension as a build up.I got to challenge that a bit.
I saw it as he didn't like the snickering and undermining of his message.
Like it or not, he's the HC. If the players see that the assistants don't respect the HC,
eventually, they won't respect him either.
Now, I'm not saying I buy into his message. He seems a bit corny to me... like a fake tough guy act.
However, he's the HC and he should be respected.
I'm pretty sure there's basically "one voice" in New England.
Different expectations. Seattle is used to a dominant defense. We are used to a team marching up and down the field on us hoping we get lucky the other team eventually makes a mistake. Being an upgrade is welcomed, even if he is not God-like.I love that we got Kris but a lot of fans are acting as if he if a god and incapable of making mistakes. Certainly he is an upgrade but many Seahawks fans were bashing the guy all the way out the door. I just hope that our fans are realistic with their expectations.
Same expectations. We have improved every season since Rod took over in all aspects. Even with players that didn't fit his system. It seems to me that most or a lot of Cowboys fans didn't appreciate that and wanted a Legion of Boom defense....just like Seattle fansDifferent expectations. Seattle is used to a dominant defense. So, you don’t want a dominant defense? You want one where the players have to coach the coach because the coach thinks the player should be in 2 places at once and fans just need to appreciate that?Same expectations. Keep in mind that you're talking about one play. Facts are we have improved every year on defense. Adding Kris by no means will make us perfect. Sean Lee will continue to have a great football IQ and will likely disagree with a play call made by Kris. With that said i would love for us the have the #1 defense, offense and special teams but my expectations are based on what we did the year before and if we are improving from a season ago.So, you don’t want a dominant defense? Disagreeing with a play call is one thing. Having a coach that is completely clueless on the sidelines is another. Players should get confused in the heat of a play. Coaches need to be the one that clear up the confusion, not the other way around.Keep in mind that you're talking about one play. Facts are we have improved every year on defense. I disagree that we have had clueless coaches. How can we improve every season on defense with clueless coaches? Not saying you can't find better coaches which we are lucky to have Kris who easily could have gotten either a DC or head coaching job. Sean Lee will challenge Kris just like he always have.Disagreeing with a play call is one thing. Having a coach that is completely clueless on the sidelines is another. And I agree improvement is the goal from one season to the other. One way to accomplish that is through better players and coaches. I think we took another step towards improvement for next season with this move.
Was the coach clueless in that clip or not?I disagree that we have had clueless coaches. How can we improve every season on defense with clueless coaches? Just wow
Honestly I have no idea if Lee is right because I don't have all the information. And even if Lee is right it's just one play. Was the coach clueless in that clip or not?

It’s one play we know about. And one play is too many.Honestly I have no idea if Lee is right because I don't have all the information. And even if Lee is right it's just one play.
This happens on every team in the NFL. As long as players have great football IQ it will continue to happen. Again no one even knows if Lee was right in this situation. Sounds very knowledgeable though. It’s one play we know about. And one play is too many.
