Unfortunately he’s not always going to have all of that support around him. And in this era in Cap era teams can’t stockpile. Windows close quickly. Last year was a great example what we have without all those pieces in place.I am looking for a QB that can win it all when he we have the team around him capable of doing that. Plenty QB's can win the SB with a great team around them. The key is to get that great team around them. Some QB's obviously better than others.
Dak showed me his rookie year what he can do with quality around him. And this was his first year at age 22. Very impressive. No QB's are going to win it all without great players around them. Aikman was a perfect example.
It’s my opinion we need more to overcome those weaknesses. In a perfect situation it’s possible Dak is enough. But then in 2016 it wasn’t enough to take us any further than the frustration we’ve experienced this era.
It’s why it all comes down to winning. Without the winning wave he had in his remarkable rookie season he wouldn’t have won our hearts over. Don’t fool yourself into believing it’s not about winning as it cures all ills.
Unless your just watching him to play? We had Romo fans who enjoyed him slinging the ball around too.Personally I’m not into moral victories. But to each their own.
We have so many obstacles to overcome with our front office and coaching staff I’m not sure we can overcome a QB who needs all this supporting cast. Dak will need to be more than Romo was who wasn’t enough to over our dysfunctional franchise either.
