I am looking for a QB that can win it all when he we have the team around him capable of doing that. Plenty QB's can win the SB with a great team around them. The key is to get that great team around them. Some QB's obviously better than others.

Dak showed me his rookie year what he can do with quality around him. And this was his first year at age 22. Very impressive. No QB's are going to win it all without great players around them. Aikman was a perfect example.
Unfortunately he’s not always going to have all of that support around him. And in this era in Cap era teams can’t stockpile. Windows close quickly. Last year was a great example what we have without all those pieces in place.

It’s my opinion we need more to overcome those weaknesses. In a perfect situation it’s possible Dak is enough. But then in 2016 it wasn’t enough to take us any further than the frustration we’ve experienced this era.

It’s why it all comes down to winning. Without the winning wave he had in his remarkable rookie season he wouldn’t have won our hearts over. Don’t fool yourself into believing it’s not about winning as it cures all ills.

Unless your just watching him to play? We had Romo fans who enjoyed him slinging the ball around too.Personally I’m not into moral victories. But to each their own.

We have so many obstacles to overcome with our front office and coaching staff I’m not sure we can overcome a QB who needs all this supporting cast. Dak will need to be more than Romo was who wasn’t enough to over our dysfunctional franchise either.

Reality for Jerry says he’s doing a fine job. That’s the only reality that counts.

Marvin Lewis is also doing a fine job. He’s taken the Bengals to as many playoffs as they’d been to the 40 years before he arrived.

You see a coach with playoff futility . Ownership sees a consistent contender which keeps the team relevant and a product easier to sell hope.

I was under the impression that we were trying to win championships, not be the "Bengals south."

If the goal of this franchise is to emulate the freaking Bengals, my God, how far have we fallen:facepalm:

My agenda is winning. Winning more than we’ve seen this era.

Yet you are against firing Garrett?

Who do you think has been the head coach during this era?

So you crap on Dak and say he is a scrub, but the head coach who hasn't won jack in 8 years you are ok with?

Sorry, but hard to believe your agenda is about winning if you want to keep Garrett as HC. You do realize no head coach in the history of the game, since football was invented, has ever had as little success as Garrett and then went on to win a ring.

You think Garrett will be the first person on the planet to do this...….hard to believe you are serious about winning.

Poor Dak. If only he had another perfect offense around him like 2016 we could have choked in the first round again.

Let me see if I am understanding your logic...………

Dak didn't step up and lead the team, so he sucks and has to go...……..meanwhile...………You say...…….

We have to have superior talent to overcome the coaching blunders of Garrett.

So your point is that Dak and the others are not good enough to overcome the poor coaching of Garrett, so we must get better players. That is seriously your argument? Not that we need a better head coach, but we need better players so Garrett's blunders wont matter? That is the most back arse wards way of looking at football I have ever seen.

"jerry won't let jason coach".. lmao...good job jerry because jason can't. Jerry is training him fast as he can, it's not jerry's fault jason is a slow learner. "going to go back and watch the tapes of what we did wrong last year, but I don't know how to fix it, even if I knew what was wrong"...

You seem to struggle with a fan applauding one year and criticizing the next?

If Garrett wins aSB all the bashers will change their tune as well.

It’s always about winning. Don’t fool yourself.

If Garrett wins the SB...…..……….HaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaHaaaaaaaaaaaaa:lmao::lmao2::laugh:

I will delete my account and permanently ban myself from this site after posting a huge apology of how wrong I was if that happened next season.

I am not too worried, In fact, I am not going to lose one wink of sleep because I know it will never happen.

Funny thing is that I have offered a one-month self ban bet to any supporter of Garrett on this site if he just wins a single playoff game next season. He wins a playoff game, I go bye bye for a month. If he doesn't win a playoff game, the other person goes bye bye for a month.

After 8 years on the job, not a single person on this site of over 100,000 members has accepted my bet. That says more about Jason Garrett than I could say in 20,000 posts.

Not even his biggest supporters, after 8 years building the team, are willing to take my bet that he can even win a Wildcard game next season. Ironic, isn't it.

It isn’t irony by any definition of that word. It’s not even notable, really.

The only reason nobody’s taken your bet is it’s kind of a stupid bet, and it’s definitely a suckers bet. For one, the odds of any team winning one playoff game in a league based on parity in one specific season are bad. Two, we don’t get anything good if we win. You’re low on the list of posters I’d like to see shut up for a month. And just think how sad everyone would be if I were to stop posting, even for a few days. Alexander is in my inbox begging me to come back as it is if I miss even a few days. A month might kill him.

Actually, I’m talking myself into it the more I think about it.

Instead of getting a QB better than Romo, why don't we get a head coach better than Garrett?
Because I dont see that as a real possibility with Jerry. We had Bill and Wade without any better results . Who are you suggesting Jerry will attract?

I’m all for a more proven HC. But I believe within our dysfunctional management elite talent is a greater opportunity. And if we’re going to spin the wheel Id rather go after a more elite QB than HC.

I’ve accepted Jerry is determined to prove he can build a championship caliber team without a HC like Jimmy who’d recieve more credit. Jerry tried that and didn’t like it. There’s not enough room in Big D for an ego bigger than his.

That’s fine . Your more concerned about being right than winning. You sound just like the Pundits who said Romo will never win a Super Bowl. They ultimately were right. Who cares. We can all say Earth is flat until it’s proven round. That doesn’t interest me . I’ve given up Jerry is going to do what we all see needs to be done.

I’m about dealing with the Reality. How do we attempt to overcome our situation? It’s like a handicap. How de we prop it up .You appear to still believe Jerry is going to arrive at some kind of absolution after all of these years and there’s a normal solution within the parameters he’ll allow?

I expected a head coach to win more than 1 playoff game after being on the job 8 years, or at least be able to see when his LT was being molested.

I got neither.
How do you expect change with a GM that doesn’t recognize or willing to make the decisions necessary?

We can all join the Lynch Mob for Garrett but it won’t dig out the root of the problem. You’ll just cut the head off and the weed will bloom again.

And why I’ve given up with that more reasonable solution and promoting a means to surround the deeply rooted weed we won’t dig up once and for all.

I have not once said Dak needs to go. I’ve just been critical of his performance and passing ability. I believe under our dysfunctional front office and coaching staff we need a more elite QB. I’d be fine with keeping Dak on as a backup if he doesn’t develop further or lead us to the promise land.

Our dysfunctional situation calls for a back arse way of coming up with a solution. Until further evidence I don’t believe Dak is enough given our situation. Romo certainly wasn’t enough.

We haven’t held a GM accountable to win more than 2 playoff games in over 20 years?

Or how foolish it was hiring a QB coach with only 2 years experience in an unprecedented dysfunctional manner naming him “ future of the Dallas Cowboys”.

I will take a bet with you that if we win a SB with Dak I’ll take a time out for a month as you will with Garrett.

If we ever win a Super Bowl with Jerry again despite who our coach and QB are I’ll have nothing left to criticize and consider deleting my account. That was my entire intent on joining his forum 11 years ago was to speak out against Jerry after giving up my season tickets after 4 decades.

I’m concerned I won’t out live Jerry anyway. My heart will prob give out before then. I’m already living on borrowed time. I won’t be intimidated by Internet bully’s. I’ll be banned from this site first for going off against those who bait me.

I’m not sure you’ve read more of my thoughts on our situation with Garrett. Go to “ Jerry is done” thread.

What’s ironic is he’s also betting Dak isn’t enough to overcome our front office and coaching staff this year to win a playoff game which is basically what I’m saying too.

At least we know Garrett can win a playoff game. Dak hasn’t yet.

I’m certainly more than willing to make a bet with him on whether we’ll ever see Super Bowl with Dak vs Garrett. Our other forum wouldn’t allow these type of wagers but I’m not intimidated by this type of bullying rhetoric.

Beast is a good guy. He just gets worked up now and then.

Sig bets and the like are fun. We don’t have restrictions against them. I prefer not to make bets that keep people from posting, but just because it runs counter to the spirit of the site. We want all opinions. Even the really dumb ones.

Surely, then, you can find what you are alleging. All I have seen you do is bloviate and use caps, as if that proves anything. That video that I posted is what aired during Fox’s pregame show for Super Bowl XLV. Beginning to end, with no edits. Provide proof for your claims - surely there would be an article that would outline that Troy Aikman and Emmitt Smith stated that Jerry Jones had to overrule Jimmy Johnson for them to be in Dallas as Cowboys. It’s not like that wouldn’t be a controversial twist in a story that people still can’t stop talking about nearly 25 years since Jones fired Johnson.

But, what you are alleging is a complete and utter falsehood. And, I think you know it. Using the “my dog ate my homework” excuse is rather weak. As is “who are you going to believe - me or your lying eyes?”

And you know this video of yours is unedited? You were n the room when it was made and watched whoever upload it? Talk about being naive and thinking EVERYTHING on the net is in the EXACT form it originally was. What are you in grade school? I see there are exactly zero unedited videos on the net, that haven't be altered in any way. Ya and I have some prime swamp land that I know you'll rush out and buy.
