I'm not going to take time to read six pages because I know they're filled with some love but mostly misplaced hatred.......

That said, this truly made my day. TO's numbers speak for themselves and he should be judged primarily on his achievements.

Screw the phonies that purposely "Kaepernicked" him for years. Screw the lot of them.

Major major props to TO for giving a big public *** ewe to the lame folks that hated on him for so long. I will look forward to the news of his separate ceremony and may even try to attend when that information does come out.

GETCHA POPCORN READY! :popcorn::popcorn::popcorn:
My popcorn is ALWAYS ready.

Yes..and no. I see the angst T.O. has for the HOF morons that waited so long...but on the other hand, HE DID GET VOTED IN...and at a time where many others got left out and failed to make it. He needs to swallow his pride for once and show great class and humility. BE HUMBLE AND GRACIOUS T.O!! It don't matter the road you took...YOU MADE IT!! Shut up...and show up. Stop being a punk.

You shouldn't apologize for T.O..or be shocked. He asked for it...all self inflicted. He got what he earned, which is he made it into the HOF...only to spurn the very same folks that voted him in. CLASSIC T.O...and now he's the victim? lol....WOW. Dude is mental.
I don’t have to apologize for that man. He came from a damn near division 2 school to be better at his job than anyone on this website. He’s a legend and respected as such by those who matter.

They stuck the middle finger at him for a reason. He was a Immature, prima donna jerk and locker room cancer wherever he went.

That’s not the voting process, you vote based on individual accomplishments, HOF has nothing to do with who you are as a person.

If he has that much disdain for the HOF then why accept the induction at all? Why not decline? The fact is, he wants to be a HOF member, but he wants to draw all the attention to himself, which is the attitude that kept voters from electing him 5 years ago.[/QUOTE

That’s what your interpretation or theory as to why he declined to be there. Why decline the induction? He earned it.

A lot of great players have waited or are still waiting - go cry me a river and be responsible for your own actions. It is a team sport and if you suck as a teamate that should be part of it!

Go play Tennis or Golf if you don't like it!

They’re not waiting because of Character, they’re waiting because they felt someone was better, that isn’t the case here. Do your job as a voter or relinquish your vote. Simple

This brilliant decision by TO exposes the HOF for what it is.... A clown show of decision makers that continuously judge players for attitudes, conformity, and menial off the field things..... Instead of what they should be solely judge on.... PERFORMANCE.

Even the peanut gallery would understand that even to be considered for the hall you have to have obviously stood out amongst your peers for an extended period of time. Longevity. Players with legit off the field things normally don't produce the types of numbers "over time" that would be worthy of HOF consideration.

I don't recall ever seeing TO on any police blotters....

So with that, I applaud TO's brilliant decision. First ballot HOFer... Period.

Clown shows deserve to be exposed for exactly what they are.

I disagree. I remember how toxic he was on every team. Being a team player is a big part of being a great player. He failed miserably in that category.

To me, being a different personality is just that. On the field you can count on one hand the number of receivers who were better than him in the entire history of the league. He never got in trouble off the field from what I can remember either. If being a team player is a consideration then they need to start inducting teams into the HOF. But if it's an individual honor then you look at what they did on the field individually and very few have done it better than he did. That's first ballot unless you're holding a grudge. Well, he chooses to hold one back after he got what he wanted.

So being a good teammate has nothing to do with being part of a team or you as a player? I say it does!

When you are on the field as part of an 11 man team, nothing you do is "just you"

Karma dictates that you reap what you sow regardless of laws or rules. He was a jerk and he paid a bit of a price. The fact that he's so upset about it proves he knows it's the truth.

I don't know that the HOF voters are asked to disregard things that they feel may have been detrimental to the game, but even if they are told only to consider play on the field, it should be a surprise to TO that it doesn't work that way. It never has. If TO thinks the process and HOF are a sham, he should decline to be inducted altogether. The fact that his chosen path is simply to be petty only highlights the reasons voters held out on him longer than they would have otherwise.

If it is only about his play on the field, then the voters are the ones being petty first. He's just returning the favor. But if you actually do consider things detrimental to the game, what of players who disgrace themselves AFTER being inducted? I mean, nothing happened to OJ's HOF status, right? That would make it so that as long as you don't turn into a pariah until after you're voted in you get to keep all the career accolades you earned during your playing days.

And where would you draw the line as one instructing voters? Fraud is fine but murder is not? One murder is fine but mass murder is not? Do you instruct on current "movements" en vogue in society and deny a player if they're against one of those movements? To me, it's much, much simpler to just stick to what's done on the field. I mean, someone can say that he took away from the game but broadcasters and networks made hella bank talking about his antics during the week to keep fans interested so they could be "outraged" by stuff. Like it or not, that's a "contribution" to the game of an unconventional sort.
