Apparent suicide by hanging.

Anyone thinking of doing the same please call 1-800-273-TALK

The horrible feeling of depression can be treated very successfully with medication. There are always new adventures and relationships waiting for those who get this help.

RIP AB

Wow!

Kate Spade a couple days ago and now him...

It goes to show you money... fame... prestige... It really doesn't matter even though we crave it.

"Suicide is a growing problem in the United States. The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention published a survey Thursday showing suicide rates increased by 25% across the United States over nearly two decades ending in 2016. Twenty-five states experienced a rise in suicides by more than 30%, the government report finds."

We've got everything and we're still not happy.

Maybe it's not about "stuff".

I’ve craved the wealth that comes from it but not everything else.

it’s only a matter of time before the milenial YouTubers/social media celebrities start following suit. Many claim already they have mental health problems.

Fame is something I have never craved. I definitely prefer personal privacy than having everyone up in my grill! Hells to the no!

My heart is so very heavy, having learned this. A truly genuine human being and you don't see those types very often anymore.
He was a towering figure in not just the culinary world, but pop culture itself and that position was well deserved. His talent was only trumped by his character, which were both immense.
My soul goes out to his family, his gorgeous girlfriend, Asia and those that were very close to him.

People like him aren't replaced.

RIP Tony

I never watched his show and I have no clue about his personal life but indeed it is a very sad news.

While we are at the stress of life in general,I think an extreme materialistic world life style can drive the soul to be in despair.

“I should’ve died in my 20s. I became successful in my 40s. I became a dad in my 50s. I feel like I’ve stolen a car — a really nice car — and I keep looking in the rearview mirror for flashing lights."

- Anthony

RIP Mr. Bourdain
With the exception of the kid in his 50s, I relate perfectly to that statement. (I'm only 44)

You should check it out, it's probably the only show about food that I really liked.

I think AB could never get over that ugly ladyboy kissing him on that CNN episode. LOL just joking... No AB was the only show on CNN I liked watching. Too bad seemed like a very cool guy.

An old friend of mine was really close to him. She is in the process of filming her own cooking show for Food Network and he was her mentor/advisor for it.

She is absolutely crushed right now and said he had his demons but never saw this coming.

This is that guy who did those shows about going in and improving the quality of restaurants' food and service, right?
