I know that a lot of people discount Tyrone Crawford for his large contract, but I still reckon that he's a solid player. I do have confidence that he can play well. Maybe not to the level of Irving, but he is quietly consistent. I'm not quite sure why he gets disliked on here as much as he does. Also, let's not forget that we DO have Maliek Collins who has been good, when healthy. So, as far as his spot as a DT goes, I do have confidence in DTs on this team not named Irving. Plus, we have loads of young chaps.

There's a decent chance that both of the starting DTs will miss time to begin the year.
Who fills in? You can plug Crawford in at 3T
and he'll be steady. 1T? Brian Brice? Lol.
Isn't Hankins a FA? Goodness, he can't be that expensive at this point in the offseason - what do you have to lose? It's not like the FO has any more brain cells to lose when it comes to the DT position.

Man was I wrong about Irving! Guy is dumber than a bag of rocks sacrificing everything. I was hoping Dallas was going to sign him to a big contract and thought for sure someone would throw a 2nd round pick for him. It seems like very year there is one player the team is counting on to step up and be very good and it never fails. They get suspended. It's been Gregory., Lawrence, Irving, McClain. This is the crap a meant years ago when Jerry should of cut McClain and Gregory to make examples out of them and maybe these other players would open their eyes.

His pay will be reduced. And if you are suspended that time doesn’t count toward a season. But I think it’s only like 6 games you need to count as a season so he will still be a free agent next year, assuming he only gets these 4 games and not more later

I don't understand their deal there, where they seem hellbent on playing Collins at 1T so he can rack up injuries and get overpowered by double teams instead of putting him at his natural spot... where he had 5 sacks.
Hankins lets Collins slide back to 3T where he was pretty dang good.

Collins is good when healthy and when playing at 3T. Crawford is too small to play on the inside and has no bend to play on the outside. I can't wait til he's gone
