We should be worried about the defense. With Zeke and the OL, Dak is good enough even if he is just in the top half of the league. Trent Dilfer won a super bowl.

Is it 5 years in a row now that a defensive player starts the year suspended? At what point do we stop trying to win on the defensive side of the ball with high risk reward players, whether that's conduct risk or injury risk?
I've been waiting for them to fix the defense for years. All they care about is offense, offense, offense.

can somebody explain this too. Rush has no arm

Ya buddy!
I can 'see' that #7 coming off the bench & winning games for us,it looks to me like he makes a conscious effort in regulating the balls velocity on some of those passes, if such a things possible during a game,as it's launched & flying long before his receivers turn or make their cut towards the ball,,,that 30 yarder to #80 for the T.D. is the regulated ball velocity I was talking about.

I will say that the recent drafting trends do give me some hope though.

Taco, LVE, Chido, Byron, Maliek Collins, Jourdan Lewis etc.

They have been sinking a lot of high draft capital (I consider rounds 1-3 to be premium draft capital) into the defense lately. Hopefully it starts paying off.

They just need to stay away from the character issues guys like Gregory, when it comes to high draft picks. Save the risky picks for day 3.

Exactkt!!!..Bob Lilly and doomsday which held Miami 1972 to one FG our first SB win.
1978 vrs Broncos with Harvey Martin,Ed too tall Jones, Randy White named most valuable players in our 2nd SB win.
92-95 Once Charles Haley came aboard for a no 2 and no 3 pick we added 3 Superbowl rings total=5

And here's some Charles Haley ...we should be spending 90 million on one of these

Yes sir. Dallas needs an upgrade or two at the DL and still at LB and definitely at SAFETY. But no, let's pay Martin QB money to the cheers of dubious fans. The dude should have been shopped for draft picks and let someone else pay his insane salary.

Yes. I sure was.. Even hoped he’d be Staubach 2.0. I supported Romo till the end. Whether I criticized his performances or not. I most definitely wouldn’t have spent $250 on his authentic jersey if I wasn’t a fan of his. Why? Because he was quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys. The team I love.... SMH... That was a dumb *** question.
Perhaps, but it came at the expense of your dumb *** question to another poster.

Are you talking about Jason Garrett? The coach who allowed Dak to get sacked 8 times, vs Atlanta last year, because he was to stupid to chip for his backup tackles. No one cares what Garrett thinks, except you and sadly Jerry. Now, I know why you and a few others dislike Dak so much!! You don’t realize the importance of good coaching( good in game adjustments, a smart passing scheme that is not predictable, smart clock management, etc.) You put all the blame on Dak in 2017 when the team was struggling and didn’t even realize players were injured and Garrett’s coaching was mediocre at times and atrocious at others( Atlanta game and Seattle game ). Coaching matters to a teams QB for your information!!
This I can actually agree on. However, since Dallas is straddled with an ignoramus as a HC and an absolute BOZO as a GM, the ONLY hope Dallas has is to have a generational HOF QB on the team who can cover up all of the GLARING problems the FO and coaching staff has. Dak is not that. So, I think Dak would do better on another team who has better coaches who can put him and his teammates in better positions to succeed. Sadly, Dallas is on the lower side of coaches and decision makers. It is why everyone puts so much pressure on the QB in Dallas. They know we will always get out coached during a game and the ONLY one who can navigate around those pitfalls is an ELITE QB.

I like Dak. I think he is over rated here in Dallas. Too much is placed on his shoulders and is sad. If Dallas LUCKED into a better HC who stands up to the IDIOT Jerry, then and only then would Dak be a good QB for this team. Just my observation though.

Since you brought it up..

Look at the eagles , does Foles demand to be a starter?

Foles just won a freaking Superbowl MVP and he is content with being the backup..

Dak brought this on himself the day he thought he was good enough to be the starter for America's team...

And don't give me that "coaches desicion" crap because if Dak had said "look , I had a good couple of games but I'm not ready. I need to sit for a year or two and work on some things while Romo starts" none of this would be happening..

The way things went down you could see Romo really wanted a chance to play and Prescott could have sat behind him for a year or two..

He has no one to blame but himself.
So Dak is to blame because he took the ball and ran with it as the saying goes.
Thats the hall mark of self confidence and competition. But now its a rock to through at Dak.
Can you imagine a coach saying to any player " OK kid your turn" go in there and the player turns and says " coach I'm not ready".
I dont what it put on me.
Really? thats your complaint really?

On the old site, he would get a warning. Post after post of the same drivel in unrelated topics makes for a lesser board.

On the old site you would have booted him as anyone who disagreed with you was axed accordingly....by the way KSK how you filling that power hunger lately?????

You guys can't have it both ways.

"Poor widdle Dak is only a 4th round developmental QB , cut him some slack

Shoulda just stayed the backup while he worked on his game while learning from a veteran QB for a year or two but he thought he had arrived..

And as for being "confident"

"Are you concerned about defenses having more tape on you ? No! I also have tape on them "

Proceeded to say this was a learning experience and that he is a young QB after the season...

"I'll be dammed if i end my season on a bad game"

Proceeded to put up 6 points against the eagles backups..

"If I could play tommorow , I would to get the bad taste out of my mouth"

Proceeded to look worse the next game..

Talk , talk , talk..

You wanna know who is confident in his abilities? A QB like Deshaun Watson that sees one inch of separation and fires a rope!!

You wanna know who doesn't have confidence in his abilities? A QB that needs his receivers to be 10 yards away from the nearest defender in order for him to think if he will attempt to throw them the ball..

Keep an eye on guys like Watson , Wentz and Mahomes. those guys are full of confidence don't let Prescott fool you with false bravado..

Dak knows the Job is way beyond his talent level. He will try his best to keep it as long as he can and there's nothing wrong with that I guess.
His Coach states ...he has to improve in ALL areas...which any way you cut it is a warning shot towards the Dak man..... I have a feeling unless Dak performs a miracle come this season his Bus Driving days will be over......

Prescott is actually a very good QB He kinda reminds me of watching Danny White though when his game is on everything is clicking and looking good. But then all of a sudden the bottom falls out with a what the hek was that If the oline is fixed Dak is fixed Having Zeke the entire season will also help

After all this bs you just typed, I have the same question for you that I started this thread with.... Is this Dak throwing deep passes that people said he couldn’t? That’s all I wanna know, for now. Can you explain this to me? I’m not claiming he’s a Hall Of Fame Quarterback. I’m not saying he will undoubtedly win a SB. I’m not proclaiming he’s gonna have a 5000 yard 30 tds and 6 interceptions type season either. That remains to be seen. But I do believe this videos shows Dak Prescott tossing deep throws on the money in live games. Am I correct?
