I hope I’m wrong, but I think Tavon will make about as much impact as Rico and I think Rico struggles to make the practice squad. We will have players make a surprise impact, but it won’t be these two. I think the new receiver from Buffalo and Xavier Woods will be pleasant surprises, as well as, our rookie MLB. Go Cowboys!!
Ask either Brandon Cooks or Malcolm Jenkins if that is fact.Running sideways across the field like that rarely works in real NFL games.
News flash everyone.
It's ok to criticize anything just as long as to preface the criticism with " I hope I'm wrong".
Lucky Whitehead 2.0
Hahahhaha! Pls do. If it works for you, I'll try it too.Going to try that theory out on my wife.
I'll let you know how it goes.
Nice read. Ty.Man, I hope so.
People who actually understand football will tell you that Whitehead made a significant impact on the 13 -3 season in 2016. As I posted in another thread, look strictly at numbers and all you’ll see is 3 or 4 big plays. he made on jet sweeps – most memorable was against the Packers - and nothing more. That was enough however, to make defenses pay attention when he was in the game. Play actual off of that same jet sweep look created immeasurable yardage for Zeke Elliot between the tackles, and creating extra seconds for a Dak Prescott in the pocket.
If you look strictly at Austin’s numbers, you’re going to be disappointed when all is said and done. If you look beyond the numbers, specifically at the yardage he creates for others by his mere presence in the game, you’re going to see how truly valuable player with his talents and abilities is. Austin is a better, more talented, version of Lucky Whitehead’s… Not a “2.0”.
I don't know about void of talent but yeah I think those players were simply better than him. Then he can only contribute in an offense void of talent?
Watkins seemed like a bad investment at $16M until you see what Austin is making.

Hey genius..4 mil total. That’s the max the cowboys will have to pay him this year, if he somehow hits every single incentive and per game bonus.
Sammy Watkins is making 21 mil in cash in 2018.
Please if you’re going to contribute at least have some factual information. There’s enough fake news in the world today.
I'm offended. It took lots of energy and effort putting that post together. The play posted was garbage but tavon is going to have some big plays for us this year, just wait till you see how effective he is when we fake it to Zeke and toss it to Austin. If he makes it to the second level untouched it's a big gain and I think our blocking plus 9 in the box to stop zeke creates the perfect storm for Austin to succeed.
“News flash everyone, when you think something is going to happen, but you don’t want it to happen, it is very common to say what you think is going to happen and then say, I hope I am wrong. I am a Cowboy’s fan, of course I want Tavon Austin and Rico Gathers to play well, and help contribute to us winning games, but I don’t see it happening. Both those players are being over hyped. That is why I stated I hope I am wrong. There are poster right now on the Cowboy Zone who constantly criticize Dak and make statements about how he has a noodle arm and is strictly a backup QB, etc. Many of these posters have huge egos. They would rather be right and have Dak and the team fail, than be wrong and have Dak be successful. I have strong opinions about certain players and coaches( especially Garrett)but I want the team to be successful. By the way Bleu Star, you posted Tavon Austin is the next Slash. LOL, It’s not happening, but I hope I’m wrong. Ha ha.News flash everyone.

It's been nice knowing you. Leave us something in your Will...Going to try that theory out on my wife.

Fumbles. Lol. I know it has beat to death but that’s all I worry about with his punt returns. If he gets to open field then he won’t be caught.
If the NFL allowed a DC, Designated Catcher like MLB allows a Designated Hitter, then I would be down for that! They're going to let Beasley catch the Punts and then hand the ball to Austin.
They might even bring back PacMan to catch punts (Remember him catching 5 punts while holding the previous balls in his hands)...
Imagine when this is back there returning punts. My God.
Lightning in a bottle.
