You fellas need to bring it down a notch here. Lets don't let this get out of hand and overly personal. Kids read this board and this talk is not what they need to be hearing. Clean it up.

Thank you,

Ok. It’s cool. I respect the fact that you’re much more fair and consistent here than they were on the other site. They played favorites and allowed certain posters do as they wished. As long as they agreed with the mods.

Andy said it and I'll take the liberty to say it about Dak's situation as his 15 min are almost up......tick tock tick tock....Mr.Rush Mr White are you ready to lead the Star?

What if Dak last more than 15 minutes genius? What if he plays exceptional this year, like his rookie year? By reading your post, I believe if Dak has the greatest season EVER for a 3rd year QB, you will still say Dak sucks. Your really not worth debating.

Are you really that slow? The Eagles had a plan for Wentz from the day they drafted him. Dak was just drafted as competition for a backup role. Yes. He walked into a good situation.
But nonetheless it was a situation built for Romo’s needs and not his own. But he performed very well regardless. Year two Wentz saw more accessories acquired to suit him and the team, but Dak had to deal with injuries and losses of key linemen, a suspension to his lead back, receivers dropping passes and a coaching staff who refused to adjust. That spells doom for any young quarterback. You just dislike Dak for personal reasons. So common sense won’t ever prevail with you on this topic.

True statement. Does the term "Romo friendly" offense ring a bell? It was coined by Jerry Jones.

I wonder if Patriot fans were yelling at Brady when he replaced Bledsoe ? After all Bledsoe was the starter and actually had led the Patriots to a SB. lol
If Brady hadn’t won the Super Bowl I’m sure there would have been a controversy.

Much like if Dak had taken us further than Romo there wouldn’t have been one here.

It’s always about winning. Don’t ever lose focus of that. It was Daks winning wave that kept Romo on the bench.

This is not true. No matter what Dak does, there will be a large number of supposed Cowboys fans who will continue to hate him because that’s what they were raised to do. Whether it’s because of the Romo situation or otherwise. Dak will be hated by many of his fan base even if he wins 5 straight Super Bowls. That’s just the way it is.... Sad. But true.

First of all just what is a "noodle arm"? I've read the threshold for an NFL quarterback to be successful is to have a throwing velocity of at least 55 mph. If less than that, does that doom a guy to be an NFL failure? Then consider this from recent article:

"Deshaun Watson’s 49 miles per hour is shockingly bad. The magic number for NFL quarterbacks is 55 mph. Only two quarterbacks with ball velocity below 55 mph have had any success in the NFL: Tyrod Taylor (50 mph) and Dak Prescott (54 mph). Prescott was also reportedly throwing with a minor shoulder injury at the 2016 NFL Combine."

Didn't most just rave over Watson before he got injured? And not just his running, but his passing as well? Yet a "shockingly bad" velocity? So obviously there's more to being successful than just arm strength.

And Dak was only 1 mph (1.81%) away from the threshold, even possibly with a slight injury. Hardly a huge gap.

Dak may not have the strongest arm in the league, but then neither does every NFL SB winning qb, so I don't see that alone as a huge concern...

A strawman is a misrepresentation. It can be an exaggeration.

Either way, you making an exaggerated and false claim, then criticizing other people for arguing a “strawman” is still hypocrisy.

Eh, an exaggeration still has at it's core the same basic argument. A strawman has at its core an argument that is not being made. So no, it's not hypocrisy in any way shape or form - even if you subscribe to the claim that what I have said is "false."

Probably completely false.

How is a great OL and running attack not built for EVERY QB? This is just absurd excuse making.

The eagles did not have anything built for him the day (or year) they drafted him. Dak was established as the starter in year two, just as Carson was. Carson had even greater injuries to deal. Your argument is silly. Just stop.

Philly won in the postseason and the super bowl without Wentz. That shows you that he wasn’t as big a factor as you make him out to be. Foles was the SB MVP and would’ve done just as well with the coaching and team that was built to succeed. Your argument is dumb as hell. How do you explain that chain of events? Other than to say the Eagles had superior coaching and a better overall team than the 2017 cowboys.

Exactly!!! NFL history shows us that not many Big Armed Quarterbacks are Super Bowl Champions. Knowledge of the game and chemistry with teammates are much better attributes.

What? That has nothing to do with how well Dak performs.

Defense is irrelevant here. We're not talking about the team's success.
Sure it does!!!! If a QB has a D, he doesn't have to take as many chances. Ask Eli!!!!!!!!!!
