I don’t think there’s any doubt that the constant position changes took its toll on him. The previous year he played extremely well at LT when Tyron was out. Or was it two years prior? Either way, he has shown that he can play well. If he does make the team, he needs to be left to play one position only.

IMO, keeping Chaz Green around is simply this FO’s failure to accept they made a draft mistake. And Chaz Green having a “good attitude” won’t do anything to protect Dak.

Between his injuries and lack of performance in clutch situations, I’m at a complete loss for why Chaz Green is still on the roster. Is it another example of Jerry the owner “liking” a player when Jerry the GM knows dang well he should cut him? I just don’t get why this team continues to put any stock in this guy.

Given the current OL depth chart, I don't see Green making the final 53. Maybe someone gets hurt and he can stick but right now he is a long shot.
I disagree....... he had a bad day but he has also had really good days

I don't see much from Looney and MMartin.....at least Flemming can handle Swing OT

I was thinking they should've immediately tested Clayborne for PEDs after that game. Looked like he was moving twice the speed of Green/Bell that night.

I don't know why Green's time at OG was viewed as a failure. Most of the games I have recorded from last year we're from early in the season when he played inside. I've intently watched his play there and came away impressed thinking he played well. Perfect? No, but he's a young player with time for development. It could very well be hes not an NFL caliber OT. I hope this isn't a case of the Cowboys trying to put a square peg through a round hole.

It's in the rear view mirror now. Any future performance resembling that effort should be the end of the line.

Chaz: "It was all a blur ... every single guy I tried to block."

Chaz: "I counted to 3 Mississippi or alligator every time before I tried to block like the coaches taught us to do."

Chaz: "You mean I was supposed to block that guy?"

Chaz: "I thought Dak was a running quarterback?"

Chaz: "At least I didn't false start!"

Chaz: "I had the Falcon's defense on my fantasy team .. I won big that week!"

I still don’t get this staff. Everyone universally agrees that trying to switch him from tackle to guard was a failure. So where does the team line him up at OTA’s this year????? Guard. Ridiculous. Dude is, at best, a decent swing tackle. Leave him there and see how it goes. This damn position flex is killing us

He's most likely just a camp body at this point....his play just simply isn't at NFL level.

Exactly, he is toast. He is now the 4th best tackle on the roster and that’s not including Connor Williams who was just drafted in the second round and could also play tackle if needed, or Zack Martin who also has that flexibility.

The only way Chaz makes the roster is if there is a rash of OL injuries. But given his history, if there is, he is likely to be one of the injured ones.

And I'm amazed that people want to cut a guy after one horrid performance.

We have 90 spots currently.

I get it but he struggled pretty much any time he was in and yes I get the 90 roster spots...and I'm sure he's better than some of the bottom guys..

But, be hasn't really shown any development in the time he's been here

+1..... I challenge a few to research M Martin profile and tell me you keep him over Green. I like I said earlier, Looney is pretty safe after signing 2-year extension couple months ago. Comes down to Green or Martin........

Chas Green failed.

His coaching staff failed him and cowboy nation even more that game.
amen. Move on from the Chazzy Green experiment from HELL! Admit we swung and missed & cut him. IT DOES HAPPEN to all good clubs. Sometimes you simply get it wrong. Cut him and wish him luck.
