Let me ask you this, is it considered a positive thread if people pick the Cowboys to be 9-7 or worse? The OP asked for our predictions, how are trolls attacking a “positive thread” by answering the OP’s question? People like you are why I originally didn’t answer.

Agree the first 5 are winnable, but with all new position coaches, plus the turnover at WR and TE, the offense is gonna have to gel pretty fast in the preseason to come outta the gate 5-0. Or else the defense may have to become dominant early.

I hate the guy but I love that pre game speech, I sometimes use it against my co workers in competitive situations just to piss them off. BTW, just because I love the speech doesn’t mean I don’t think it’s not the goofiest, most ridiculous thing I have ever seen and I would die laughing in that huddle.

Pretty much. It's really early in the year for these sort of predictions. My point is, I can make a case for 5-0 as easily as some rando poster can for saying, say, 1-4.

It's all in the air this early on, and I think a lot of posters are taking Phil's OP too seriously. Just have fun, Zoners. Whether it takes you to a 6-10 record or 14-2, take a stab. I like the "game ball" aspect of the thread, too.

BTW, hopefully my prediction is wrong. I was more optimistic about last year and ended being wrong and let down. So hopefully this year, I’ll be wrong again but pleasantly surprised. I’m a pessimistic person by nature, even wrote a report on it in college, last year was the rare exception of being positive and I now remember why I stay pessimistic.

To sum it up, if I expect the worse and something good happens then I’m thrilled. If I constantly expect the best outcome and it doesn’t happen, I’m bummed for awhile. That’s the jist of a several page paper. Some beautiful logic, eh?

I cant like Winston. Watch The Hunting Ground and youll understand why. And regarding your post. I love that you picked 7-9. I meant for this to be a positive thread in the manner that its DIFFERENT then all of the others lol. I dont care about peoples predictions. We could go 12-4 as easy as we could go 7-9. In reality it comes down to injuries and if the offense can gel quickly.

Skins LOSS ( About this time we will lose a game we should easily win )

Then I apologize for my snarkiness. I just didn’t want to take that much time being honest only to be “attacked” or get in an argument with someone who didn’t like my opinion. I felt like I would be throwing bait out there and I’m not fishing.

I’m sure you read my other posts in this thread. I like your prediction much more than mine but after last year, I’m lowering the bar. I even stayed positive up until the very end and got in arguments with people for wanting to tank the season even though we were barely half way through and still had a good chance at making the playoffs. I also left the live game threads on more then one occasion because they were so depressing.

Lesson learned! Stay negative but cautiously and secretly hope for the best :)

I went with Lawrence against Seattle as well, I think he’ll put on a clinic against that O line. Same reason I picked him against the Giants in the last game of the season. Lawrence will tear Flowers a new one, assuming he’s their starting RT.
