We have a solid coach in place who has given us an identity to win games. Pretty much the same identity as Jimmy actually and just like Jimmy no one will want to give Jason credit until he is gone.

Thats flippin funny. Please let us know when JG figures out how to coach like Jimmy.

his seat is fine. its the fans that dont get it. the Cowboys FO isnt looking for a SB. They know Garrett cant produce one, so hes still a good fit. you can bring up 100 reasons to fire him, all legit. Thats not the goal tho. Sit back and relax kids. you are stuck with this reality.
SJ definitely wants a Superbowl before JJ bites the dust. He said as much while in tears just a few years ago. The truth is if JJ was in charge we would have had 6 different head coaches in the last 6 seasons. SJ is more about looking at things realistically and the circumstances that have faced the team since JG has been head coach. Like gutting our entire OL JG's first season. The headache of your franchise QB getting hurt every season. Gutting most of your secondary. Zeke.

Now Im not saying you give JG forever but I see the logic of staying stable at HC if you believe that these are legit circumstances; which SJ obviously does.

When the seat of the GM never gets warm, it creates strange chemistry within an organization. When your GM and VP for Player Personnel have “lifetime contracts” regardless of results, it’s bad for accountability and organizational health.

Yeah, those two super bowls were awesome.

Oh wait..........
Coaching styles and team identity have been the same. I actually think this season after finally truely rebuilding our team via the draft we will have a true run at the SB. Can't buy SB's anymore.

The seat is pretty damn cold, if you'd ask me.

Unless there is another 8-8 season, I think he stays comfortably and probably will for years to come. It's not that I am coming at JG with the pitchfork and chasing him out of town yet, but the goal should never be to make the playoffs and that's it. Eventually, we have to take the next step.

Nah, not really similar at all. Jimmy held people accountable The Jerry/JG regime allows the inmates to run the asylum. No accountability exists.

I'm afraid they will. I guess all they have is hope and it's better than the alternative. I see no evidence that he'll be any different than Jerry other than cheaper. He sure likes the limelight as much as his daddy.

outlier who didn’t. He hated the idea.

Stephen remembers the incident well, and it speaks to one of his key roles with the Cowboys.

“You told us we need to stack ’em on the board and stick with it,” he says he told Parcells after listening to the coach’s arguments. “And that’s what we’re going to do.”

“&$#*$& you!” Parcells screamed. “That wasn’t what we talked about.”

“You’re wrong,” Jones replied. “I was in the meeting. We did talk about this. And we said that you do not have the final call. We’re not being unreasonable here. We’re listening to you. But you want us to pick your side over the whole scouting department. That’s unreasonable.”

Infuriated, Parcells dropped another F-bomb and stormed out.
