guess it depends how many jailbroken firesticks you have. lol. ---20 bucks on prime dayHow does that work in a Sports Bar set up with multiple TV’s.
i spend a fortune on entertainment and have everything. but my kids use zero cable/satellite.And that’s the bottom line. I’m glad there’s an option if your more cost aware.
But it’s an Expense I justify with my priorities in life. I’m like what else can I buy sports related . I’m a sports TV Junkie.
I currently have 5 Tv’s in Cave and looking to see how I can add another one. Each bedroom has one , living area and patio. Direct TV loves me. It’s just not an expense which curbs my enthusiasm. Lol
Plus thru AT&T I can record or watch any recording I’ve made on any device anywhere without using data.
I have 5 TV in my Sports Cave with two Direct TV recievers. Each reciever allows 3 Genies. In other words I can have 5 different games on with same basic service not needed for each unit while being able to watch same or different programming throughout other rooms and on the patio. I have a total of 8 different TV’s going on at any particular time.guess it depends how many jailbroken firesticks you have. lol. ---20 bucks on prime day
what people do at home now will eventually become common place in enterprises as well.
i have directv, my secondary TVs all have streamed data from the main set top box.
Only one connects to the wall for more than power.
Id conclude this makes the NFL more valuable than ever to the Networks. From a source (De@d Sp!n) that is, apparently, not allowed to be directly linked on CZ ...

Here are some facts: The NFL’s ratings declined 9% in 2017, and 8% in 2016. In the prized 18-45 demographic, the NFL declined 12% in 2017. Here’s how some TV networks you probably watch—or used to watch—fared in 2017, according to Nielsen 18-49 data:
...and so on. (ESPN, you’ll recall, actually gained a few viewers.) There were nearly 500 scripted series aired on U.S. TV in 2017, more than double the number that aired in 2009.Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Hulu are driving this massive increase in available programming, and nearly every broadcast network is taking it on the chin as a result. Overall, broadcast networks lost 16% of their viewers in 2017; cable networks lost 11%. And that’s using Nielsen’s “C3" ratings formula, which counts DVR viewings. The NFL only lost 9%.
- NBC: down 19%
- Fox: down 8%
- CBS: down 19%
- ABC: down 15%
- Univision: down 18%
- CW: down 15%
- TBS: down 11%
- Adult Swim: down 16%
- AMC: down 20%
- FX: down 14%
- Food Network: down 10%
- Lifetime: down 21%
- Comedy Central: down 18%
- Spike TV: down 24%
- Disney Channel: down 24%
- E!: down 18%
The NFL’s ratings have fallen substantially less than TV as a whole. Indeed, Sunday Night Football remained the highest-rated show for the seventh straight season. Ten years ago, it didn’t even crack the top 10. Monday Night Football’s viewership fell, but only by 3%.
Are NFL ratings down? Yes, but only if you don’t compensate for the overall decline in TV viewers due to streaming services, et cetera. If you do compensate for the overall decline in TV viewers, NFL ratings are up.
The NFL’s share of a rapidly-shrinking TV audience grew in 2016, and it grew by an even larger amount in 2017. As a percentage of people who are watching television, the NFL is commanding its biggest audience in the history of the league.
I’ll repeat it:
- Broadcast TV networks lost 16% of their viewers,
- Cable networks lost 11% of their viewers,
- The NFL lost 9% of its viewers.
Then your assuming HC like Jimmy had little or no influence building their rosters ?I mean it in terms of what pro head coaches are these days.
They wield little power, making a fraction of what their star players make. GMs do the personnel stuff. Head coaches are largely interchangeable with the same guys just moving around the league. If you have a great quarterback, you get to be Mike McCarthy and Mike Tomlin. If you don't, you're John Fox and Marvin Lewis. This is a quarterback-driven league.
Now, college head coaches are supremely valuable because they put recruit and carry huge power throughout the entire program.
You guys have zero ideas how contracts work......bunch of NFL cheerleaders....they can do no wrong in your loving eyes
You know that Netflix just had record revenue but missed subscriber estimates by 700k and the stock tumbled 15%+
The TV deals have been locked in for years at staggered and pre-set increases
Even GB admits it took in less money at Lambeau
The NFL can be #1 and slipping at the same time....and a 20% drop is not a death blow but it is real
But keep your pom poms dry......Goodell needs ya
The NFL is still a giant. Don't let the social media posts and media fool you who are trying to push this agenda that the NFL is failing. It is still a cash cow.
it can yes. your limit would be through bandwidth on the internet but with that set up i am guessing you pay for a very fast internet connection anyways.I have 5 TV in my Sports Cave with two Direct TV recievers. Each reciever allows 3 Genies. In other words I can have 5 different games on with same basic service not needed for each unit while being able to watch same or different programming throughout other rooms and on the patio. Does streaming allow for this mass type of broadcasting on each TV in the house thru same service or do I have to fidgit with each one during streaming?
The NFL is supposed to be immune to slumps and cherry picking the 18-45 conveniently misses those that walked away for goodFrom a source (De@d Sp!n) that is, apparently, not allowed to be directly linked on CZ ...

Amen........ you can be king and still be slippinThe NFL lost eyeballs last year. They lost a lot of goodwill with fans. Sure, it still makes money but much of that revenue stream was already set in stone. Where they are going to lose money is on the next contract. Not that the absolute value will go down, but they will see less of an increase than they would have without the anthem protests.
It's like Star Wars. It should have been kachunking out 2billion a pop movies.
The first of the new Star Wars movies didn't lose money. But revenue drops on the next and next and next purchase as they continued to piss off fans.
Now Solo is actually going to lose money. That's just incredible. He's probably the most popular Star Wars character, and they're losing money on his movie. And most reports were that the movie itself wasn't that bad. They'd just lost the audience with the previous movies.
I'll probably go out and see Solo just because I've got MoviePass. But notice how long I haven't even gotten around to it? I think I saw The Force Awakens on the first night.
And I didn't watch a minute of NFL playoffs last year out of spite.
Piss off your customers, lose your customers.
Ratings can't keep dropping at the rate it has been. The network will feel it when the ad money price starts dropping because of ratings.
You keep saying Drama Queens but they are real, pissed off Baby Boomers and some GenXThis I agree with for future prospects. But the whole story about a bunch of foot-stamping drama queens bringing the NFL powerhouse to its knees is rubbish. I'll bet most of them never even boycotted. All talk, no action.
Then give us some better numbers...with linked sources. The NFL is supposed to be immune to slumps and cherry picking the 18-45 conveniently misses those that walked away for good
TV doesn't pay sitcoms and cable the money they pay for the NFL.....piss poor excuse

They cancelled the Chewy movie after Solo bombed making 211m......lol
