Favorite Beatles Song

What is your all time favorite Beatles song and if there's a story associated with it, please share that.

Mine is this one as it represents to me the transition song when they began the next movement of rock music. The album is credited with that movement, nod to Pet Sounds for inspiration, and this song represents that to me. It started the turning that opened the door for a new creativity.

I remember the first time I sat down and listened to this album in one sitting. I had wondered where Rubber Soul and Revolver were taking them and now I knew, they weren't just evolving their sound, they were changing rock and opening new doors.

And I always assumed that experimentation was Lennon and McCartney was all about "silly love songs". Harrison was actually more experimental than Lennon.

Ravi Shankar changed his life and his approach and dedication to music. Man could play 18 instruments by 1970 (and well over 20 by his death)

Lennon and McCartney were very experimental after 66-67, with that said.

I've seen Paul McCartney twice ... last October at LCA in Detroit ... almost 3 hours non stop...

Ringo Starr and the all-star band are really good as well. Paul is on tour. If he is your neck of the woods, I encourage you to get tickets ... He is such a gift to world. If he comes to Detroit or Toronto I will be there.
