John Goodman is another very underrated actor

Jeff Bridges, kinda. But True Grit brought him the attention he deserved

starman....Jeff Bridges as the alien....AMAZINGLY authentic.

Jared Leto

Cage is actually, now, severely underrated. He's shown incredible range from "Raising Arizona" to "Leaving Las Vegas" to "8mm" to "Port of Call" to "Joe" to wonky "Face-off" and "Gone in 60 Secs" to name a few. He has a diverse range.

He belongs on my list of underrated actors, in hindsight. Sheesh, this thread is a wormhole for me.

Michael Keaton...shoulda won the oscar for Clean and Sober.....then he does iconic roles like Beetle-Juice and Batman....GREAT actor.

Incredible in Birdman (2014). Sensational. Great call. One of our great character actors and yes, underrated because of some of his early choices (imo)

Im glad Clint Eastwood FINALLY gets some love from the oscars and film critics because in the 70s and 80s....HOW IN THE HELL does he not get some nominations for Dirty Harry...or The Gauntlet....and he shoulda won for The Man with No Name.
not under-rated now....but in his prime....absolutely.
He was as GREAT an actor THEN as he is as a director now.

and the same for John Wayne....he is not only owed an award or 2 for The Searchers and Sands of Iwo-Jima...but an apology by the academy for being IGNORED at the time.
He was a GREAT actor....watch the scene from Wings of Eagles when his character was learning to walk.....that man was a damn fine actor.

recognised as a hollywood legend yes....but Im talkin about recognition for being a master of his craft....as GREAT as any of'em.
