After watching the E60 on Trout, there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that either at or before the end of his current contract, Trout will be playing for a team in the northeast. His Jersey roots run very deep.
"No doubt" ????

RS, bro :( It's never been a secret how much he's ingrained out there. When he plays at Phillies 8,000-10,000 additional fans show up. His whole life is out there. But it's always been that way.

But he also loves it in Anaheim. Not saying it will or wont keep him here, but he isn't disgruntled here AT ALL

With that said, he's my favorite athlete all-time (well, tied with #99), I'll follow him where ever he goes. Will probably have to buy MLBTV if he leaves (well, there is no "probably", I will have to).

And dang, I missed that one. For whatever reason, I didn't set my DVR to it. Maybe it's a good thing.

Good trade for the Angels, too. Sounds like 2 near ready-made mid relievers, one who hits 100 and the other 98mph. I believe their 22 and 28 prospect. Kinsler was an expiring contract, with an LTC. Those two receivers will probably need TJS in a year, but we got something for him at list. Not the return of Maldy, but Kinsler isn't as valuable as Maldy.

Now, with that said. If this isn't just Eppler trying to save face on a season done, and his him trying to rebuild, Trout is gone. It isn't about Jersey with him, it's about winning.

We need to be big buyers this offseason. We have two seasons to surround him with talent so he isn't walked every game. Two seasons after this one to be contenders. We need to revamp the BP and add 2 starting pitchers, and one impact fielder. Machado and Arienado need to be targets number one. Would love a run at Kershaw.

Shame on you Luhnow for acquiring a wife beater whose face he beat unrecognizable. Osuna should NEVER be allowed to pitch again. Why is this monster not locked up? Luhnow was talking about giving people a 2nd chance without EVER even mentioning the victim. UNBELIEVABLE

“We must fight for the victims,” Lance McCullers Jr. said, “video or not.”

The issue here is no one cared as much until a video was leaked & now everyone is outraged!? This is the reality of domestic violence. It’s always brutal, always sickening. We must fight for the victims, video or not. He should be in jail. If you need help, find it. People care. https://t.co/1ZhHnJlX3o

Yankees traded for Lance Lynn yesterday. To make the deal work, Cash sent Adam Warren to the Mariners, in exchange for international cap relief. Mariners sent 1.25 Million to the Yankees.

Yankees sent Tyler Austin and Luis Rijo to the Twins in exchange for Lynn. Yankees still remain under the cap. Lynn has been an above average pitcher, for most of his career. Prior to this season, he's been 72 and 47 with an average of 3.34 ERA over 6 seasons in St. Louis. He got traded to Minnesota this season and has only been 7-8 with a ERA of 5.10. I think that the Yankees are thinking that Lynn can be a 5th starter or a guy who can step in and throw some middle relief for you. I think Yankee Stadium helps Lynn a little bit so we'll see how it works out.

The Yanks were very aggressive in the International Market and signed a few top guys and are favorites for the top remaining OFer from Cub

Plus they added some quality arms and stayed under the LuxTax

They are still looking at an OFer like AMcCutchen or CGranderson

That YES money, doe
They actually cut payroll by 40m this year and got under the LuxTax for the 1st time in a decade

This reset their tax rate down to 20% from 50% and eliminated some other harsh sanctions

It will be next year when they start throwing around money again if they go after Machado, Harper, Kershaw...etc

Astros get Roberto Osuna from the Blue Jays for Ken Giles and two good pitching prospects.

I'm so torn on this. Half of me likes it as he's a young dominant closer. The other half of me hates the other half of me because Osuna is a scumbag.
It literally made me sick to my stomach when I read about him and what he had done. He should be in prison so he can get a taste of what it feels like getting beat up to a pulp by a man. I sincerely hope the victim pressed charges.

If the Phils don't grab him first. However, it will have to come at the cost of defensive production, which is something a bad defensive team like the Phils should keep in mind.

Machado is very adamant on playing SS even though he's a gold glove winner for playing 3rd. Phillies are in a rebuilding mode, and boy are they rebuilding by picking up Ramos (an All-star catcher) & Loup who is a 30yr old southpaw with an unremarkable 4.54 ERA at today's deadline.:D

From some of the things I've read, there was also child abuse involved with him. I'm ashamed to be in this thread right now. I know he's young but that's no excuse. You're still a grown ******* man.

Tell your Angels to take their time, please.
You guys are reloading way too fast for my liking.
