Sorry CC, My bad.
Squash is a concentrated extract of fruits with sugars and such, that is diluted with water to taste, it comes in many flavours, orange is by far the most popular, but I love Lemon.
It's also sometimes called Cordial, not sure what You folks call it.
Kool Aid?

There appears to be a Lemon Squash shortage in London.
I've been visiting 3 Supermarkets (big Hypermarket sized ones, not little local types) every day for about a week, none of them have had any Lemon Squash.
Has there been some sort of catastrophic blight that's ruined Lemon Crops Globally?
Buy some lemons and squash them This is a squash

If only it were that simple.

ingredients
  • 4 lemons
  • 500mls water
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
    1. With a vegetable peeler, peel the rind off the lemons.
    2. Place the lemon rind, the water and sugar in a small saucepan and bring to the boil.
    3. Reduce heat and simmer for 5-7 minutes.
    4. Remove from heat. strain the rind out and allow to cool.
    5. Meanwhile, peel the lemons and remove the seeds from the flesh.
    6. Place the lemon flesh in a food processor with about ¼ cup water.
    7. Process until the flesh is liquidy.
    8. Strain over a jug, pressing the pulp until virtually no more liquid remains - you might want to add back in some of pulp if you prefer a lemon squash with pulp.
    9. Combine the juices from the pulp with the sugar syrup and stir to combine.
    10. Use about ¼ cup of the squash with fizzy water.
    We call it lemonade here

I appreciate the effort Bruv, but that's a ton of faffing about for about half a days worth of drink.
I want a big bottle I can buy for £1.29 that'll last Me a week.

But can't you simply order some online and have it shipped?
No, because They'll simply "Substituted item" Orange Squash Me, if it's not in stock.

I gave up shopping online because of the way They'll "substitute" items that aren't in stock for "similar" items.
In the past, I've had a Mango substituted for 500 grams of Strawberries, a bag of Basmati Rice substituted for a 1kg packet of Linguini and 4 cans of John Smiths Yorkshire Bitter substituted for a 2 Litre bottle of Cider.
I think it must be an in joke with the Folks who Pick orders, Who can make the most ridiculous substitution and get away with it, I complained about all 3 of the above and got a refund on 2 (Mango for Strawberries was apparently a "reasonable" substitution).

Where the Hell do you shop online??? How can they get away with that? I'd write them and claim you had an allergic reaction to an item you didn't order, and they can expect a lawsuit.
