Heard a report late last week (Mike Fisher) that the Boys will trade a DB sometime very soon
They have Byron Jones, Chido, Lewis and Brown. IMO, they aren't in any position to trade any of those guys. And if they are talking about a safety? The same can be said about that unit.Heard a report late last week (Mike Fisher) that the Boys will trade a DB sometime very soon
Cowboys Medical Tent
The number one preseason priority, by a wide margin, is to avoid injuries, especially to starters and key role players. The 49ers failed in this mission, as they suffered five first-half injuries to guys they expect to play a significant role: starters Solomon Thomas and Malcolm Smith and second-stringers TE George Kittle, RB Matt Brieda, and OT Gerry Gilliam. In his postgame presser, 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said that Kittle and Brieda both had shoulder injuries that would cause them to miss some time.
On the other sideline, Marcus Martin, Marqueston Huff, and Marchie Murdock suffered tweaks. The most serious should be Martin’s toe—which, for a man of his girth, could be a long-term issue .The others were considered minor. None of the players in question are roster locks (Martin and Huff are bubble players), so there should be no frantic scouring of the street free agent lists on the part of the Cowboys front office.

I have said over and over and over and over that Dak can throw deep down the sideline. It's a straight forward throw that requires no read at all beyond one safety.
It's the between-the-numbers area he struggles. Dak is usually about 2 for 5 in that area, where most quarterbacks are 4 for 5.
And that wasn't a good throw for him. Sherman picks that with ease. He usually gets that over the top better.
The writer doesn't understand the criticism of Dak. Of course, this is USA Today, which hits on in about 10% of their stories.
Dak doesnt struggle at all. But you are more then welcome to show the statistics to prove your point. People have shown over and over again the statistics showing the accuracy of Dak and his effeciency against the blitz.
These claims by the Romo cry babies are nothing short of total and complete cry baby BS.
Must have really hurt to see that deeply thrown 40 yard bomb right down the sidelines. LOL
Now all of a sudden he can throw deep down the sidelines just not in the middle of the field? LOL
Heres some nice clips of Dak throwing the deep ball. And the very first one is just special for you........Right down the middle.
Time to go back under that rock you crawled out of.
I love watching Dak when the games start. Practice reports seem to make the girls tinkle in their panties too much....
I mean..........cmon.............Dak is a young QB working on mechanics, changes in his motion, a new system, and new and young receivers. Its not going to be perfect in practice. When the lights come on, he does more of what he is comfortable with, with the best personnel on the field, and makes better decisions. And of course he steps it up because hes that type of player.
Yeah I was gonna say.....no QB is hitting 80% from ANYWHERE on the field.Wrong. "4 for 5" would be an 80% completion rate. Nobody came close to that from 2016-17.
For that time frame, the average completion rate between the numbers was actually 65.9%. Prescott's was 66.8%, which put him 15th among the 32 QB with the most attempts targeted to the middle of the field. Jacoby Brissett ranked 32nd at 51.7%, which itself is much higher than the "2 for 5" you were attributing to Dak.
Maybe you meant short-to-intermediate between the numbers, where the average completion rate goes up to 69.6%. (Still nowhere near the 80% you claimed most QB have.) Dak's was 70.1%, which ranked 13th. Brissett's 53.8% ranked 32nd.
This is obvious fake news because I have been told over and over on this board that Dak is not accurate.
It's obvious to me at least. Even last year I saw so much that made me happy. Tyron was out, Zeke was gone, he was gaming the best he could. He had lazy raggedy Dez and Terrance Williams as his WR's. Witten was as always solid and pretty much his only real option. He did his best but the coaching staff didn't help him. He pressed and frankly he has taken the blame about as well as any human could. I look forward to this season. I feel he has more weapons now even though many don't see it. If Tyron stays healthy and Zeke is there all 16 games, these 7-9 predictions might actually be laughable.. We'll see.....
IF we had a sober Irving and healthy Collins starting from game 1 with full training camps then I might actually be very very pumped for the season.
Dak's accuracy is not average, its below average when it comes to deep throws.
Bob sorry thats inaccurate rewatch the practice and gamesDak's accuracy is not average, its below average when it comes to deep throws.
I know right. I was told by several on here that we are going to rue the day that we did not send several high draft picks to move up 2 spots to draft Wentz.Wait a minute. Dak doesn’t suck?
Ummm not true. I read a stat where he threw less deep than any QB last year. Yet was top 5 in hitting his target.
This is exactly the issue.
Dak doesn't go deep often.
That is why he struggled down the stretch..
Teams took away the dink and dunks and forced Dak to go deep but he , fir whatever reason , didn't do so..
For those that have been paying attention , Dak has always been a gun shy QB even in his college days..
That is the whole issue.
Either Dak learns to trust his arm and slings it down the field when the defense crowds the box , or we will continue to see games like the last 8 games of the year..
You guys need to understand where we are coming from..
Stats mean nothing when we are literally the worst team in deep passes attempted. Do you think opposing defenses don't know this?
It all comes down to Dak taking chances when the defense clogs the box..
Why do you think Tom Brady's WR are always open underneath? Because the minute opposing defenses cheat up , Brady licks his chops and throws an easy TD down the field Wich makes the defense backup and concede the short throws again..
My mind really becomes boggled on how some people can't understand that a one dimensional QB (dinker) won't succeed in this league because the way to keep defenses honest is by going deep..
In other words, if you are ranked last in the league in deep throws , defenses will always have the upper hand . Because they know they can cheat up..
Why do you think Jason "molases" Witten has Hall of Fame numbers?
Because defenses gave him the middle of the field and we're more concerned with getting beat deep. That is what Dak lacks. He needs to start making defenses pay. I don't care if he's 6/8 in the deep passing game , I would rather have a 25/50 QB because I guarantee you the defense won't be so fast to creep up in the box and that will only open up the short passing game and not to mention the running game also..
Defenses don't fear Dak and if that doesn't change , it will be a long year.
The only way defenses will begin to fear Dak is if he starts throwing deep. That's all there is to it.
Dak struggled down the stretch because he lost Zeke and he lost the Oline. Nothing could be more obvious. Anyone that cant figure out that simple analysis has no business in a football conversation.

Come on Roy !!
We both know that Morris put up more than enough yards for us to be competitive..
Go back and watch the Denver game and tell me I'm wrong..
Go back and watch the Seattle game and tell me I'm wrong..
Troy Aikman was having a seizure that day because he couldn't believe Dak wouldn't back Seattle off the line of scrimmage.
Believe me , Carolina is going to crowd the box and play the short passing game.. it will be up to Dak to make them back down.
