Just another reason I'm glad we drafted Zeke

I've heard reports that if the front office didn't select Ezekiel Elliot with the 4th overall pick in 2016, Jalen Ramsey would have been the pick.

Ramsey has quickly become the type of player I despise- arrogant, cocky, and just an all around loud mouth. He rips other players on a regular basis and just seems like he will eventually turn into a toxic player in the locker room, if he hasn't already become one.

I don't care how good Ramsey becomes. No player is worth those kinds of constant distractions.

So glad we went with Zeke.

Give me Ramsey's personality over Zeke's any day.

Both guys are good players. I don't mind brash or cocky if you can back it up, and both can. Zeke's a hell of a football player, but I have more of an issue with him getting himself in trouble off the field--both the St. Patty's Day incident and reputation for partying pretty hard--than I do with Ramsey's big mouth about football.

Long as Ramsey is not pulling a TO and ripping his own players who cares about what he says about players on other teams. He's not supposed to like them because they play for the enemy. Glad we got Zeke though

It is only going to come back to haunt him and his team. Everyone roots against a player like that.

And I see him turning on his own teammates when their record goes south.

Not the type of player I want in the locker room.

Ramsey - no real issues off the field

Elliott - issues off the field

What Ramsey said was stupid and dumb and arrogant but he can play and might be the best CB in football. And to date, he's never put his PT in jeopardy by doing stupid things off the field.......... Elliott has.

So I found your conclusion a bit of a stretch.

Honestly this is no big deal. The media says it's a an issue and find buy it. It's comical to me because it's how I grew up playing the game in HS in Texas. We never gave anyone credit unless they transferred to our school lol.

So you're reasoning for Zeke over Ramsey is you don't like players who are distractions?

I'm not even sure how good of a guy Zeke really is tbh.

I still pick Zeke over him but I have no problem with him doing this if he backs it up. All he’s doing is taking the attention off of everyone else and forcing teams to try and attack his side of the field. Sherman did it before him and Cortland Finnegan did too.

Jalen is on the field each week and performs at an elite level.

I would've taken Ramsey over Zeke.

With that said i'm not sure if I would still do it.

Ramsey would've been good here but I have major doubts about how effective our offense would be without Zeke.

Imposing our will is our strategy and Zeke also makes Dak a better player.

So with the lack of coaching and a young QB that I didn't account for when drafting I think we made the right choice.

Zeke's issues off the field was related to an unproven "incident" several years ago. Before he was even drafted. All evidence revealed pointed to his innocence.

Wasn't Zeke's fault the Goodell went after him.

After having successfully separated the player and the person, I would take Ramsey over Elliott because CB's that good, mouthy or not, are harder to find than good RB's. I like watching the players and can ignore the personalities after experience with Irvin, Sanders and Owens.

I'm glad Zekes on our team but i'm just not a fan of his like I was for D. Ware, Dez, Romo.

Something about Zeke is unlikable to me. He may be cool in person but I doubt it. Unless you're a teammate of his I bet he sucks to be around.

I was very much on the Zeke over Ramsey bandwagon before we drafted Zeke. That said, I believe you are hating Ramsey for all the wrong reasons. That "arrogance" as you call it, is something all the greats possessed, rather they were vocal about it or not. He probably should have kept that "Your-QB-sucks-tirade" to himself, no question (and will likely find out why in the upcoming season, considering many of those QB's he put on blast will be circling the day they face him on their perspective calendars) but I certainly don't hate him for feeling that way...I just hope for his sake he can back his words up. For what it's worth, before he said anything, I was already thinking the Jaguars are in for a very bad year. Call it a hunch.

Jalen Ramsey is arguably the best defensive player in football already, and he'll be in that category for the next decade.

Zeke will likely be gone in 2-3 years. Or, he won't be elite anymore anyway. Guys his size don't last long at that position.

Still, I'm glad we drafted Zeke and I was a big proponent of it.

Because we've seen what this offense looks like without an elite running back after Murray left and when Zeke was out last year.
