I have to believe there is a team out there that has two good centers and can't keep both. Has to be one. Not talking all pro here but GOOD.. One that is not Chaz level bad, not Beard level amazing...

Did you forget what they trotted out there before drafting T-Fred? I’d say that isn’t as easy as it sounds.

Why make up stuff to put in between the lines? Travis literally said that he was already feeling better after a couple of treatments. Why would we not just read the lines that were provided?

You can take it however you prefer, I took it that we will be without Freddy for a significant amount of time.

Nick Mangold?

Oh wait, he didn't play in 2017, though he only just announced his retirement this offseason

The Jets would make anyone want to retire....

Well...the Cowboys do too but we still are the Cowboys so there is at least a little more to make someone think. (Not much anymore)... LOL

I know you are trying to be optimistic but you are also being selfish. Beard's long term health is far more important than THIS season...sorry....

Sorry but this is a little different.... this is a systemic medical situation. Not a 50-50 thing or just a "ow my leg" thing. It has to be taken care of or the dude could friggin DIE... To me it is a huge difference.
I know, honestly it doesn’t look good but until we know more I try to stay positive for once. I hate injuries and diseases like this, especially for someone so young, this really sucks but I still think we’ll be ok.

Lol optimistic? I read and comprehend. It's fundamental. Freddie may never play another game in his life. If that's what's best for him I'm happy for him. But he said he was already feeling better. So logically the treatment is working so let's see how it continues to work. If you choose to panic then continue. I just think you're taking years of your life.

I was actually referring to Jerry's money. But yes I don't care about either one of there money. I'm curious about what the options are for the Cowboys
I see...

I'm not panicking at all dude. I am just being realistic to the medical diagnosis.... I actually think because they caught this early, his prognosis is GOOD but I think it will be a stretch to anticipate him being ok...THIS season. It's one season, if we get a healthy Beard next year at a sacrifice of this season. I am all for it....*** it...

So what he has is comparable to cancer? Again no need to panic until we see how he responds to treatment. Travis said himself he was already starting to feel better. And hopefully that is truly the case. I doubt most people including your self have never heard of this. We will see. But based on what we know now there is no need to panic.
It is a serious and very personal health condition that is unpredictable. It is not like some hamstring issue or a pulled groin.

This organization has a notoriously bad track record of dealing with injuries, substance abuse issues and the like.

The usual route is, all is well. Perhaps it is time for them to realize that when these situations strike, there is a time to react rather than just light a candle, take a silent moment and let things take their natural progression.

Of course. I think from a personal perspective for Frederick only, things are not grave.

But from a personnel perspective, and it is awful to look it that way, it is not exactly a time for mindless optimism or hope.

Never heard of this disease before and have no idea how long it will take. For all anyone knows he will play against Carolina. Or he may never play again. But what we know for sure is Freddie said he was already feeling better which means the treatment is working and that is good for Freddie and his family.

I appreciate the update Doctor. Freddie said he is already feeling better. Hoping for the best for him and his family.

It's pretty obvious you are clueless to how serious the diagnosis is...educate yourself. There is a thing called you know Google. I am sorry if that is harsh but you seem insensitive and repugnant in your view.

100% agree overall. That diagnosis is no joke. Some have compared it to a cancer diagnosis and I agree. It is something that has to be 100% under control before continuing a professional athletic career. That's all there is to it.

I suggest reading up a little about it. Google it. It only takes a few seconds to understand it is not a simple condition.

To expect the player to take the field in two weeks is just asinine.

What you read from Frederick was a courageous and personal statement that reflected his own beliefs and hopes. In no way should it be inferred to have anything to do with playing football, next week or ever again.

Even players like Ryan Shazier issue statements about their eventual return. But it is not right to assume that they are mindless machines that can take personal things and just erase them to get back on the field.

most recover from gbs in 6-12 months. good sign he's feeling better already, but not likely he'll play this year. he should be fine next year. looney isn't freddy, but he can play. but our position of strength, in the space of one week went to being a rookie, backup center and possible backup for martin in between our tackles.
