The team can not fall apart because of 1 injury

You're assuming the team strategy is to go "all in" because they think they've got a shot this year. Judging by their weak free agency actions and willingness to start an undeveloped rookie at left guard I think they plan on developing all their young guys this season and continue their slow build of a young team from the roots up. "Let the chips fall where they may" as it were,,, as a fan needing immediate gratification I don't like it, but I can see the reasoning in it.

We’ve been talking about this building for a looooong time now. A long time.

Either the builder can’t build or the coaches can’t coach but as long as the salary cap is in play we will have windows to capitalize.

Every team plays rookies and every team is going through similar things that we are.

It took Doug Pederson all of 2 years to win.

Don’t be a sucker and buy into this idea that it takes forever to build a team. Garrett has had almost a decade. Produce or go.

So far you’ve only provided me an evaluation of Garrett in your simulation comparison.

There has to be other HC’s you’ve watched who you could offer an evaluation of in similar fashion ?

I haven’t played Madden. I’m not qualified to present any comparisons.
I never said I would give you a comparison or care to give you one. You have a hard on for me giving you coach rankings.

No, I’m just curious in how you’are evaluating the clock Mgmt.

You say you don’t watch other teams or their coaches but I’d assume you’d at least watch our opponents coaches manage their clock but yet you can only offer a critique on Garrett?

Seems suspect to me that you’re only able to offer 1 HC comparison with your expertise of comparisons of time clock mgmt in Madden?

So you are saying Garrett is good at managing the clock? I say he is not and have given an example of why he isn't. You provide absolutely nothing to the conversation. What is your stance? what are your examples to prove such? What other coaches do something dumber than ice their own kicker? I don't have examples off the top of my head but I've watched games with other teams and said that was terrible clock management. I can't recall because I really don't care to remember another coach other than the one of the team I cheer for. Clock management is common sense it's not rocket science.

I’m just asking for other comparisons so I can have a better understanding . Surely there’s someone out there who plays Madden that has compared other HC’s clock Mgmt. Besides just Garrett?

Icing the kicker is all you have for an example. We didn’t need Madden for that. Lol

If my memory serves me correctly I think Andy Reid used to always suck at managing the clock. Hence why he has had no super bowls.

I have examples off the top of my head that were similar to the spiking of the ball fiasco against GB.

The very next week, the Falcons were in similar situation at the end of the first half against GB. They ran a play with 50 seconds left and gained 16 yards for a first down at the GB 33 and allowed the clock to continue to run. They ran the next play and gained 19 yards before stopping the clock with a time out with 24 seconds remaining (their 2nd). They didn't feel the need to burn a timeout to save 26 seconds between those 2 plays. They ended up scoring a TD They had 1 more timeout than we did, but we could have used passes to the sidelines and/or end zone if need be.

In the SB, NE had a similar situation against Atlanta just 2 weeks later. On 1st down from the Falcons 29 yard line and 59 seconds remaining, they get an 8 yard completion. They let the clock run down before taking the next snap with 33 seconds remaining. They also had 2 timeouts, but did not feel the need to panic and either call timeout or spike the ball. They were calm and collected allowed time to tick away. They eventually settled for a FG due to a holding penalty.

Difference between our coaching managing the clock and the 2 SB head coaches managing the clock in similar situations. They let the clock run and we wasted a precious down.

Clock management is a constant complaint among every fan base in the NFL every year.

Coaches mismanage the clock all the time.

I talked about the time management in the game. You disagree? Why is it not the same?
Garretts time management from 6 or 7 years ago? He had some problems back then for sure but he’s got past those HC growing pains.

I'm sorry but it just can not happen again.

Frederick is a huge loss. His loss effect's the entire line. That's the reality.

It just can not be an excuse for the coaches though if the wheels fall off.

They will have had a few weeks to prepare for this and 1 hole in the boat that isn't the QB shouldn't sink the boat.

If Dallas fails this year then Jason Garrett just can not escape because of this 1 injury.

We can not have a coach that makes his team so fragile that the whole thing falls apart with an injury.
Doug Pederson endorses this message...

@Diehardblues Anything of substance this time around?

You are telling me that you can't use simulations to practice a certain situation and that is false. More information on what that JG lost us the playoffs in 16 by calling the spike with almost a minute left with a timeout to spare. Never thinks ahead. Always leaves too much time on the clock at the end of halves or games when it matters most. I don't watch every snap of other team's games. I can say JG is not good at those situations. You tell me who is worse and examples. I'm telling JG is not good at it and providing examples
