I’d give the nod to Wentz right now....his mechanics are much more tight. He’s a real specimen alright. Big,mobile, with a powerful arm. We’ll see how Dak responds after the poor season last year. Long as he’s not shooting those Kobe Bryant corner buzzer beater jumpers off his back foot for a pick six...he should be alright. I don’t know how many of you have actually seen him in practice, but he’s a very underrated athlete. Can do the splits and bounce around no problem, and strong and flexible with great balance, and pass from both sides of the field. Just think he needs to tighten up things overall, and could be a much much better QB. He’s got the intangibles most players at the position don’t have. Has a good grasp for the game,is loose and upbeat, and doesn’t let negative stuff keep him down. I honestly don’t think too many QBs would have come out of that awful 3 game loss stretch last year, and kept grinding away to finish with a decent record. That’s not easy to do,especially when it’s the most scrutinized sports position in the world being you’re the QB of “The Dallas Cowboys.” ...and got a staff that turns 1+1 situations into a geometrical engineeering equation.
lol... like Pooper's yesterday?

Wentz has an offensive minded coach that made Nick Foles out perform Tom Brady and win Super Bowl MVP.

Put Wentz with Linehan and Garrett and then we can know how great he is.

Goff was the biggest draft bust until McVey came and put him in a good offense.

There is a reason Wentzs offensive coordinator got a HC job while ours got help from Sanjay Lal.
We will see, they have struggled in pre season, turns out more credit to be given to Reich, the new head coach of the colts, that was the Eagles Oc.

Cooper the Pooper? Loool Yeah, that was a pick six alright, but I’m talking about Dak’s touch floaters off his back foot. That stuff has to stop. Romo did that too once in awhile, and just as costly. I’d like him to step “into” those throws and he’d be a much more lethal QB,with more velocity.

Based on last year the gap is more than big enough. Wentz was one pace for a season that only a handful of QBs have ever had. Dak played pretty average. May as well say the gap between Bledsoe and Romo wasn't all that big because - production wise - that's where we are at.

Kind of like when Dak had a rookie season for the ages and Wentz was meh???

Ended up on Carson Wentz...I looked at the Eagles/Cowboys game because I didn't finish it and assumed Wentz just killed us all game.

Nope..
14/27 for a 52 completion percentage...with a whopping 168 yards for a 6.2 Yards per attempt, his second lowest (only next to NYG 5.7 Y/a]
Not saying Dak is as good or Wentz, cause right now I think Wentz is better atm, just makes me anxious and happy to see how our defense improves this year.

I don't think Wentz is better at this point...it is a toss up. Let's see what this year brings. It could be that Wentz makes a huge jump, but coming back from the knee injury is a hurdle. I imagine he will get there, but think they are pretty even right now.

In just 13 games last year, Wentz had 33 TDs and only 7 ints.
Also a 101.9 QB rating.

Not bad.

I will be curious to see how defensive coorinators around the league adjust to Philly’s system, and specifically to Wentz.
They always adjust.
Ask Dak after 2016

That's because Wentz is highly overrated and most base their opinion on him because of arm strength and not actually skill. His accuracy is terrible, bad decision making skills, struggles going through progressions, doesn't throw the ball with touch but instead tried to rocket every pass and crumbles in clutch situations. I rather have Dak who is much more durable and a much better leader. Dak has accomplished more with less talent and less coaching.

Is it possible to be more wrong? I think the only thing accurate here is "less coaching."

Wentz has a ring

so do the equipment guys,

..get that stuff out of here, there are many players, coaches, and staff that have rings just for being on the team. doesnt mean they are great.. sure wentz is good but so was Dak one year and ok another but the real test is TIME..lets see when contracts come up 4 years out who is still upright and playing and we can then compare numbers, right now its a wash to me Dak was superior his rookie year, wentz had a great Regular season but had major injury..so I say we wil need a lot more time to see how this works out, wentz could end up being Bradford if his body cant hold up and although Bradford was great while upright, you cant lead your team from the recovery room..Yes I agree Dak at times last year looked horrible but overall he had an average year, not bad a year but there were lots of issues and not so bad as a ton of fans are making it out to be. He had the same numbers as Carr and carr went to the AFC pro bowl, also very similar numbers as Bortles who got huge contract extension..thats interesting, I highly doubt thats BAD..again this argument or debate will play out by 2020 when these guys have had a chance to prove over time where they are really at career wise.. Even if Wentz edges out Dak by a bumper, wasn't he supposed to The eagles traded away a draft to move up and get him and we waited on Dak in the 4th and got Zeke as well..id say thats win for both teams should, they both be franchise guys..

Wentz had a great season last year, but he won't do it again.

He's much too tiny to be taking these hits outside the pocket and remaining durable.

But the gap between Dak and Wentz was just as great in 2016... IN FAVOR OF DAK.

So I wouldn't pick one over the other at the moment. Dak won 2016, Wentz won last year.

Last year, the stars aligned for the Eagles. Sure Wentz made plays, but the Eagles were stacked both in player personnel and in superior coaching, from top to bottom, so much that when even when Wentz himself went down, they were still able to steamroll to the title.
I wouldn't say Wentz win last season, he didn't even finish the season. If you add both seasons together Dak is ahead in almost every category.

Wentz was on an outstanding TD pace - on pace for 40, and only 10 players have had more. In yardage though he was on pace for 4056. which has been bested 140 times.

Huh? Using that logic, Aikman was a draft bust. How many rookie QBs are all pros or pro bowlers?
Go back to his rookie season and read fans reaction when Jeff Fisher was coaching him and you will see. I’m not debating if it was warranted or not....point is his 1 season transformation wasn’t because he aged by a year.

Dak was on pace to finish the season with 4,026 total yards, 40 total touchdowns and 8 interceptions before Zeke was suspended and the o-line crumbled, which would have been statistically better than any season Wentz or Romo ever had. :)
