How many people here put Matt Ryan in their top 5 nfl qbs? (Related question)
I have him in the top 10 but not top 5.

Based on last year the gap is more than big enough. Wentz was one pace for a season that only a handful of QBs have ever had. Dak played pretty average. May as well say the gap between Bledsoe and Romo wasn't all that big because - production wise - that's where we are at.

Key word "was"He was also an MVP candidate last year before he got hurt
Key word "was"
Dak was an MVP candidate his rookie year and beat out Wentz in rookie of the year...... Which Wentz wasn't even in the discussion for. Not only that Foles proved it wasn't Wentz but the coaching and talent of the team.
As a Cowboys fan I was really bummed about all the crap Romo had to take from Cowboy fans. Most of them to this day still crap on him. I see the same thing happening with Dak. They were wrong about Romo and they’re wrong about Dak.wha wha wha.. you're critical of Dak,, "you can go follow a different team"... *wipes tears from face*.. whaaa
Based on Wentz actually being a superior thrower, having better mechanics, better from the pocket, better at reading defenses, better at improvising, and being the actual focal point of the offense.Based on what?
Dak certainly out played Wentz their rookie seasons.
Wentz had a better year last season, but he had his entire team and a very good D to help
Dak did not have Zeke, Tryron was out at a critical time. Dez was not what he was. Sean Lee was out some and the defense was still a work in progress.
Not that those should be excuses, but it all factors in.
I will wait and see what happens this year and go from there.
So basically Dak in year one, Wentz in year two.
This year three is entirely different. Suit them up, let them play it out.

Oh and Wentz was missing his starting left tackle and running back too, and woulda been MVP had he not gotten hurt
You cant be this simple.Focal point of the offense yet his backup comes in and wins a Super Bowl? Riiiiiiight.
Philly has one of the best OL and run games in the league. One of the best young TEs and a good group of receivers that are reliable. A really good defense. And a great support staff with his coach. Pederson proved he can plug in another QB for that system and keep the train moving.
The Wentz fascination is unreal with so many. He has accomplished nothing yet so many people act like he's the second coming.

Actually everything you just said if false including if Wentz hadnt have gotten hurt he would have been MVP. Since you're playing the if game here is one for you......if Watson hadnt have gotten hurt he would have won MVP because he was already ahead of Wentz before his injury.Based on Wentz actually being a superior thrower, having better mechanics, better from the pocket, better at reading defenses, better at improvising, and being the actual focal point of the offense.

Wentz didn't clinch the number 1 seed foles did and won Superbowl mvpYou cant be this simple.
Eagles wouldnt have won the Super Bowl if Wentz hadnt clinched them the number 1 seed with his MVP-level play.
This isnt even a debate. 1 of these guys is a top 20 player in the league according to that Espn list, while the other isnt top 100.
This is pure hateActually everything you just said if false including if Wentz hadnt have gotten hurt he would have been MVP. Since you're playing the if game here is one for you......if Watson hadnt have gotten hurt he would have won MVP because he was already ahead of Wentz before his injury.
Wentz doesn't read defenses and barely goes through progressions. Not only that but his IQ especially in clutch situations is subpar. He only throws a fast ball with no touch what so ever and his accuracy is questionable. Wentz can't even score running TDs better than Dak and when he tried busted up his knee.
No pure hate is the nonsense you speak when taking about Wentz. Dak is superior to Wentz in many ways, number 1 being he is healthy and a Dallas Cowboy. You're hate and dislike for Dak clouds your judgementThis is pure hate
In no way Dak is better than Wentz. Fans on this site will hold on to that 2016 season forever
why not based on 2016 Dak wasnt bad then eitherBased on last year the gap is more than big enough. Wentz was one pace for a season that only a handful of QBs have ever had. Dak played pretty average. nopeWentz has an offensive minded coach that made Nick Foles out perform Tom Brady and win Super Bowl MVP.
Put Wentz with Linehan and Garrett and then we can know how great he is.
Goff was the biggest draft bust until McVey came and put him in a good offense.
There is a reason Wentzs offensive coordinator got a HC job while ours got help from Sanjay Lal.
Yupnope
