Deonte Thompson / Noah Brown

I don't know what Browns injury is but it was reported as a groin initially. It's rare to see someone on the IR because of a groin injury but I suppose it happens. So who was cut to resign Thompson and what was the point of cutting him if he was resigned?

53 spots on the roster.

Brown has to be on the 53 man for 24 hours before he can move to IR.

Thompson is the logical choice to cut as you just gave him 1 million to sign. His agent is happy to accommodate the transaction. Thompson is happy to not have to move.

He was banged up or hurt several times last offseason and this one too. From Groin to Hamstring.

Guys like this dont make it in the NFL.
You must be thinking of a different player.

I think the cowboys will end up regretting letting bailey go
The new kid can kick. Looks accurate from way out also. Can he handle pressure is my only question. I will miss Bailey. Only kicker we ever had where I could go make a drink or go to bathroom while he was up and know we had the points. His injuries really did a number on him. He didn’t look right any more and I was hearing him missing a few in TC. I have to trust the staff on this one. His paycheck wasn’t a big factor I don’t think

Hes 100% not worth bringing back as a designated IR guy.
You don't bring back the #53 guy and waste it on the likes of this guy
Done for the season I hope.

Yeah.
It was a calculated risk, but this allowed them to keep both
But we lose the 4th round pick for Htichens if we bring back DThompson

It hasn't happened yet and I hope it doesn't

Just keep NBrown game day inactive for a couple weeks and see if any other injuries happen

Neither Thompson nor Brown is worth losing a 4th over

Agree, I just hope there is a loophole about bringing Thompson back as an injury replacement. I can't believe they would make this move knowing they would lose the pick, I think they would just keep Lenoir or make Noah Brown inactive for a while instead.

Someone that tweets regularly needs to hit up the beat writers on this.

Similar to what most fans were saying when we let Nick Folks go. Then we found Bailey.....then crickets.
There was a stretch where we thought Beuhler was a kicker for awhile. That and some other guys that cost us games. It wan't a direct transition.

I thought that went away once a player cleared waivers

There isn't.... guys that get traded still count too

It was explained to me that DThompson didn't go thru waivers since he is a vested veteran

Since DAL re-signed him he still counts or teams would drop guys for a day just to manipulate the system

If someone else would have signed him or DAL cuts again before 10 weeks then they can still get the 4th for Hitchens

Noah Brown is always injured. Should have cut him

I don't think he has been injured since drafted until this training camp.

You might be thinking about Brice Butler who had multiple hamstring and other injury issues last rear.
