I've been there Trouty. I was fed up with my cars. I've had Chevy and Fords and I just kept putting money into them with minimal miles. I got fed up and decided to buy a new Honda in 2005. I just hit 300,000 miles and never had an issue (until recently) outside of routine maintenance like breaks, oil change, tires a new battery and new timing belt every 100,000 miles. My first issue arose last week after my AC went. It's the absolute first repair I've ever had to make in almost 14 years and 300,000 miles.

The hardest part for me was not buying American but I couldn't stand it anymore. Buying a Honda was one of the best purchasing decisions I ever made.

I'd like to buy American but I just have no faith in the reliability of the vehicles I'm sorry to say. I would consider buying a truck from a domestic auto maker but don't really have a need for a true pickup truck.

Also, I just can't make myself like the sedans because I feel like I'm buying a rental car. Fleet saless account for a large proportion of the profits for all of the major American auto makers. This unfortunately has a trickle down effect on the resale value of these vehicles that negatively impact the owner.

With all that said, I know alot of the Japanese automakers actually have plants in the U.S.. While a share of the money goes to the import makers, thousands of American workers are provided jobs.

I drive a hot rod Lincoln. My girlfriend was driving a flatbed Ford when I met her - not particularly cool, but her Daddy took her T-Bird away.

I’m on my last string since my last dumbo move. Haven’t been doing nothing since. I can’t afford it anymore...

I actually had his back door for awhile, but I ran into Mustang Sally along the way and decided to roll with her, but I almost bit the dust on Dead Man’s Curve trying to keep up. If I’d been in my little red corvette it wouldn’t have been a problem.

First full year for the Hemis. I should have waited a year or three, but I have issues controlling impulses. lol It actually turned out to be an awesome truck, just came with crappy valve springs. The second set is still running around my town, see it all the time.

Stay away from Polk Salad Annie. She’s a witchy woman, and a barracuda, and she’ll lead you straight down a highway to Hell.

:),,,,COPY:thumbup:,,Man! That Gas co. Had put me in a spanking NEW F-550 lift gate/ cordless remote OPERATED CRANE service truck, that I'd take home at nights
( it's as to the why I've phenomenally low mileage on my
pov's F-150's ,I had 'took root' in a 1995 service truck& really didn't wanna step out of it,but they were deinsuring those vin#'s from the fleet& scheduled them for auction) but, I can't recall if it was an 05 or 07,,, whatever,,, it was the worst overheating piece of aluminium incorporated powerplants ever stuffed under A hood that sported the FORD casing-liner,,,as that sucker would go from NORMAL operating TEMPERATURE to PLANET VENUS SURFACE TEMPERATURE in 30 seconds FLAT,,,SHEESE! ,,,I was the only service tech to have not melted that particular year of fleets model engine down in the entire western mountain district ,,,it sucked,,, as it would overheat& start fart knocking like at the MOST inopportune times, like when Id be well south of Arrivaca,,,& , MEXICO was nothing but a frickin' cattle guard in the middle of the road less than a mile away& naturally due to terrain features,,,ZERO CELL PHONE COVERAGEo_O

I don't know, it's hard to resist a Long,Tall Woman in a Black Dress, unless her name is Rosanna, cuz that's a Whole Lotta Rosie!
Well,,,it always broke my heart to see Roxanne putting on her RED DRESS to WALK THE STREETS AT NIGHT but only until DEBBIE HARRY, one way,or another had figured out how git me,,,,which was of a most welcome relief cuz' that annoying girl , who'd ride her bicycle past my window at night finally got her some brand new pair of roller skates & I'd hidden my BRAND NEW KEY taped to the underside of my casing-liner just like my friend showed me cuz' "she's just a Devil Woman",,, ya knowo_O
