Jerry and Dez at Beyonce Concert

New question: what if Jerry relinquished control to a real GM. Could it possibly work, or would Jerry run him out of town?
It could work. It worked with Jimmy who is last one Jerry gave the final word on player personnel like most HC’s have.

It’s weird to me that Dez reserves his ire for Stephen and the coaches, but not Jerry. As if Jerry’s hands were tied about a major business decision.
Maybe he believes what a lot here believe--that Stephen is really in charge of the team. lol

Hilarious.

I don’t suppose there is anyway they resign him and can save face?

Shame Jerry chose Linehan and Garret over Dez.
We certainly have the Cap space to resign him. Thanks to cheapskate Stephen.Especially if Dez is willing to take less for a 1 year deal.

And if anyone can save face it’s the Master Promoter, the Don King of the NFL, everyone’s favorite celebrity Football Idiot, The Dr of Doom, HOF contributor Jethro Jone$.

Witten loves Dez.

Witten has said several times that Dez is the most valuable relationship he has built in the league.

Or something like that. I’m generalizing.

I’m not sure Dak has any input.

I still think it’s Linehan and Stephen as the main people pushing for his release. Garrett was the last to get on board(besides Jerry, I don’t think he was ever on board).
Dak tried to make to have some input but the coverage was "too tight" and took a sack...

The odd thing about the offseason was that did try for Watkins, got outbid by the Chiefs and then sat on their hands till Hurns became available.
So, they were looking at a potential #1, I say that cause Watkins has been a huge tease in the NFL, and were going to offer him decent coin to come here.
So, they did try for a #1/#2, lost and said "everything is fine", till Hurns took a team friendly deal.
Yea i thought chasing Sammy Watkins was as scary as the idea of cutting Dez. The guy has been a huge bust and can't get things going in KC either. We chased him for 16m per year...ouch

I'm wondering the same thing myself. People can say whatever they want about it, or that it "means nothing", but even they can't deny that it doesn't look good. And it certainly doesn't present a United approach.

I'm the furthest thing from a Scott Linehan fan there is, but the guy the owner is partying with last night was ripping him a new one on social media Sunday. Two days later, he's living it up with the Boss?
Maybe Dez is telling him we need new coaches. Whatever works. lol

“I’m coming home, I’m coming home, tell the world I’m coming home
Let the rain, wash away, all the pain of yesterday
I know my kingdom awaits, and Dallas has forgiven my mistakes”

:laugh::laugh:

In all seriousness, Dez is signed to rocnation and Jay Z/Jerry are very cordial and business partners to an extent. Jay Z went all the way out to GB to chat with Jerry when we played them in 2008
