Mahomes is playing well because he's hot right now and has the ability to play at a high level. Dak is playing mediocre because the fundamentals of his game are still sloppy - look at the throw that he missed targeting Rico.

Exactly!!! He can be held accountable for missing Rico twice. But from my understanding he hasn’t practiced with Rico much and maybe he misjudged Rico’s catch radius a bit. But you know? It’s funny how these clown *** haters aren’t talking about that deep, pretty pass to Austin for the score. But they all said he can’t do that. What about the bullets he threw that were intermediate? He’s not supposed to do that either, right???
Unfortunately we cannot be honest in this forum about the reasons most people bash Dak. Especially after a win in which he commanded the offense. Honesty on this topic is a rules violation.

Who made Dak overthrow a wide open Tico for 6? Got it - NOT Dak. No other starting QB misses that pass.

Dak, like many QBs, was great when he had a clean pocket. He was accurate, and he zipped some excellent passes into tight windows. Unfortunately, the OL and RB and TE aren’t blocking as well or picking up blitzes and stunts as well as we used to anticipate. Dak is not as good when someone comes free at the snap. He’s definitely not there yet, but when given a little time, he was excellent.

Mahomes is twice the QB Dak is - he’s making throws our guy can only dream about. You’re losing your own argument. Mahomes is hitting those passes because he can - Dak can’t. Shootout or not is irrelevant. Mahomes is a QB - Dak is a hack.

And I don't think the person you responded to is saying he wants Prescott to throw 50 times a game. You think Mahomes wouldn't still be tearing things up if he was throwing 24-30 times?

The "play within himself" is said because Dak sucks and if he does anything more than that he puts us in a bad position. No one is saying that about Mahomes because he's capable of slinging it.

Has nothing to do with the defense.

EDIT: Actually, I just looked at his pass attempts, he isn't even throwing the ball a ton. He's simply just tearing up defenses LOL
