But the team pats themselves on the back when they take other risks, on guys I'd say who have far worse character than Josh Gordon. Or when they want to "provide support" to guys like Gregory and currently David Irving.

Just like their former infatuation Paxton Lynch. He works out for virtually every team other than the Cowboys while we sit around with Rush and Mike White, praying nothing ever happens to our starter (who's struggling himself).

For a 9-7 team in 2017, there's an awful lot of misplaced contentment around here.

Two years ago, this was the "braintrust" that regretted not giving up more to get the guy. And now they don't even take a free look, given their own issues at the position?

The Eagles have two quarterbacks playing better than ours, and it didn't stop them from taking a free look, did it?

I will admit that I see us trying to use a receiver to sweeten the pot to get Thomas, especially if Seattle gets desperate after another loss. I don't see anyone we've got being able to sweeten it much, maybe just lower the pick to a third-rounder.

I do not disagree with that statement at all.

Only if he gets to feast on 3rd and 4th corners. No DC cares or has ever cared about Brice Butler and what he is going to do on the field. Until then he is what he is somewhere between TWill and Devin Street.

The NFL has had months to review every aspect of Williams situation and no suspension has happened.

There is no excuse needed. Lynch started several games , he has been terrible, and Dallas made a decision he sucks and don’t want to look at him......what’s hard to get about that?

I'd say the fact that they currently employ at least one, possibly two quarterbacks who "suck" worse. And a starter that's struggling that they're still unsure about.

Other than all that? They're set!
