Poor little fella. I'm glad you are able to go on from all the attacks. Lmao.
I’m pleased to have come out on the right side of history.

And I’d say Dak isn’t going to be on the right side . We’ll see. Hope I’m wrong.

Under 200 yards at 6.2 to 7.0 YPA and 0 interceptions gives you a 94-8 record (.922 winning percentage) since 2005. Against winning teams, it's 38-4 (.905). Against teams that made the playoffs, it's 32-2 (.941).

Passing efficiency (offense and defense) wins games, not total passing yards.

That stat means nothing without the other stats of the game. What were the rushing yards in those games? What were the avg points given up in those games. What were the defensive yards allowed in those games. Usually when you have few passing yards it is because you did not NEED to pass to win the game so you played conservative and did not take chances.

He did on Monday night!
Aww come on now Mr Cowboy, don't go stealing pappys thunder and hate. Dude loves him some Dak Hate. Even throwing deep ball, perfect pass for 1st score, it wasn't enough for all the football gurus who have all the knowledge to prove they are right. Bottom line , the stats that actually matter, you know W's and L's, those don't live in the KB tapping world of some of these self anointed NFL gods.

Eh this is bogus. I don't like when people get emotional and don't tell the whole story. He hit one big play on like the 2/3rd play of the game and after that all the other deep balls weren't close iirc. That's not the same as he was killing it throwing it deep and sure as heck hasn't been the norm recently. I wish folks would realize that but I understand some feel their little man Dak is under attack and have to rush to his defense.

He is Alex Smith a decent qb but SB qb I seriously doubt it. Obviously hope I'm wrong.

No you don't, like all of you on the Dak's a bum, throw the sucky bum off the train, you actually hope he's a wash so you can come back on here, beat your chest and post topics like, "See I told you so"....

Football Stats for teams and players are like Financial Statements for companies. If you know how to read them correctly, they can give you a lot of information. If you don't, then stats are a waste of time, and reading financial statements won't help you in your investments.

Those who complain about stats are either 1) listening to those who don't know how to correctly interpret stats (which includes 98.3% of all sports writers), or 2) simply not savvy enough to understand how to interpret numbers. Those two groups include about 80-90% of fans, so of course most people are going to denigrate stats. That doesn't make them right. And if I agreed with you, then we'd both be wrong.
I’m not complaining about stats Jumbo. They are always important for informing decisions and improving strategy. No doubt. What I don’t like is how some people view stats with the fantasy football approach that overvalues stats over actually winning.

You've convinced me 200 yards is important. It's just OK for Romo to do it, but not Dak in your book. Who has the agenda?:lmao::lmao2:
No one is saying a 200 yard game is bad, what people fail to understand as teams play the Cowboys now there is little threat that they will beat you deep which takes away a huge chunk of game planning. What is the guiding principle behind the Cover/Tampa 2 defense, it puts the pressure on the offense to have a perfect drive by moving up the field in little chunks by limiting chunk pass plays and forcing the offense to execute. This offense is basically is relegated to that against all defenses. No one respects the deep ball, until this QB and this offense beat teams over the top it will continue to see loaded boxes and a lot of guys around the LOS.

Side note the hypocrisy of some the Dak Fans that used to lambaste RG3 for his passing stats are now saying "their" guy is better because of X. They are the same QB biggest difference is personality and draft position.

When your mistakes prevent you from titles, that's a problem.
You just criticised Dak saying grow some balls. Because he is afraid to turn the ball over. Romo had the balls which sometimes lead to turnovers and you criticize him for "making mistakes"

Romo was how far into his career before he was able to do that? People don't realize how young Dak is. He's still learning.
He was able to win a game he threw 5 picks in, bad thing is he threw 5 picks which usually dooms you, good thing is he kept his team in it enough to squeeze out a win.

And yet, in a game where we beat a team deep and threw several other passes deep, Dak haters want to exclude the deep pass in order to bash.

We will continue to see stacked boxes because when you have our line, our running back, and our committment to running so often it is the smart thing to do. Also, being predictable doesn't help either.

Green Bay stacked the box against Murray in 2014. Murray got his yardage on chunck plays, but GB contained Murray on the majority of his runs. Were they just not afraid of Romo beating them deep? Why didn't we throw deep that game until a 4th and short? Why weren't fans complaining we needed to throw the ball deep that game to loosen up the Packers defense?

Troy Aikman numbers worked pretty good for us
different era, nfl today has more 4000-4500 yard passers in a season that it is no longer a rarity. Back when Aikman played pretty much Marino was the only one that consistently hit that threshold.

Your right, I hope Dak goes balls out, throws everything 40+ and ends up with 8 picks... that'll show em...

So Romo gets credit for a team win in which he fumbled once and threw 5 INTs? Priceless.

Typical agenda driven response cherry pick one response I had when the one I made above it explained my point.

Yes he did. I would imagine if we won a game Dak (or Eli or some other QB) threw 5 interceptions, they would say the defense won the game...and kicker in that specific game. Dak didn't throw 5 interceptions, helped put up 20 points, and the defense is still given credit for this win.

Didn't Romo also fumble the ball away twice in that game? It's amazing how we won that game. That's the thing with Romo. I never felt like we were out of any game. I don't have that confidence in dak but he is still very young

Naw, I was giving you what you plainly said you wanted....I'm a glass 1/2 full guy, I'd much rather see Dak win a game without 5 picks, rather then the other. A lot of you seem to forget the 90's Bill Walsh teams that dink and dunked you to death, oh and WON a lot of games doing so, not to mention a few rings....

What these stats show me is if you take care of the football you stand a better chance of winning...
This is true and for anyone playing with the numbers at home no matter how much you adjust them they stay pretty much the same as long as you keep interceptions = 0. The number of yards simply tell you whether they win because of the passing game, in spite of it, or in between.

Why do you care how many yards he throws for? Give me a three score lead in the 4th and no turnovers and play good defense, and I'll take that, any day.

:clap::clap::clap::clap:think some get wayyy to caught up wanting that sexy QB. Said many times, McNabb was one of the ugliest QB you'll see but I was deadly and effective. If Dak accomplishes half of what McNabb did, we win at least 2 Super Bowls IMO.

Because the game was still in the balance for most of the game. Again many of the offensive struggles are on Dak but not ALL. So you are saying he is a pinpoint accurate passer, that many of the issues are not on him, to me he is nothing more than JG as QB change enough stuff around him and he has an excuse why he does not fully succeed. I blame the organization also they should have gotten a real QB coach that can coach and teach mechanics, an offensive coordinator that calls plays like he has Madden Football on up in the booth, a coaching staff that only holds certain people accountable.
