All started with the disrespect of Bill Callahan

Bill Callahan who isn't great, was still THREE times the coach Jason Garrett ever was. He should have been allowed to install his offense while he was here. We're still running Jason Garrett's garbage offense whether it be under Garrett or Linehan. This offense has no creativity.

I don't think you need to blow up this offense as far as the players are involved (not all of them anyway), you just need to start from scratch on coaching. Every single offensive coach should be fired including the rb coach. Bring some creativity here. Even when this offense was tooling it was because we had 1st round draft picks or pro bowlers littered at every position. Garrett has shown time and time again, he can't deal with having to use a back up player. That's why Jones was so excited about Prescott, we were winning despite a backup QB.

Really? Jerry disrespected the franchise by hiring Phillips in the first place. And as great as you think Bill Callahan is, the Commanders have done squat since he went there and he failed in his head coaching opportunities.

I literally say Callahan isn't great and your quote is as great as I think he is? Jesus...

He was a great offensive line coach and he was a decent coordinator who had experience. Under the right circumstances, calling his own offense he could have done a decent job here.

There aren't many people in this league that are exactly inversely proportionally good at being a coordinator and bad at being a HC, when he's definitely a top tier DC.

Wade is one of them.

Wade lost this team, partially because he should never have had it. Like you said he is a career DC and a good one, but the other reason he lost this team was because he was undermined by Garrett on day 0.

It would take an offensive coordinator of a far higher caliber than Bill Callahan to consistently thrive in the environment created by this GM and his head coach.

Callahan was never allowed to install his own offense here, but as OC his offense ranked the following in points.

Year 1 - 15
Year 2 - 5
Year 3 - 5

Get a real HC in here, get the Oline back in shape, have the new HC bring in a receiver and TE and then lets see what we really have. If Dak continues to stink it up then no harm, no foul. He is either a backup or we dont renew his contract.

But I have a feeling that a real HC and an aggressive OC could do a lot with what is here. Add a piece or two and get rolling.

I don’t know about installing his offense, but I do know that the line play has been eroding since he left and that the players brought in since he left have not met expectations.

Marinelli, Linehan, and Garrett all failed in their respective HC opportunities. So what's your point?
