And this is why the front office is so inept and we will be without a franchise QB for years.

Id give up Zeke, Taco, and Awuzie right now for Goff

I doubt you would say that if Romo was still here and playing well.

But he isn’t...Romo was old and coming off a serious injury.

A GM’s job is to plan for the future......

I argued repeatedly on the old scout board to draft a QB high that year. Believing Romo would play 5 more years was flat out foolish.

It's sad that you think this is a well reasoned argument.

It's sad that you can't argue against it

Tell me how Goff had the worst QB rating in the league and the rams had one of the worst offense years in a row under Fisher, but mcVey comes in and he's one of the best qbs in the league. Could it be coaching?

Cousins is so utterly amazing, yet he couldn't manage to beat us, so please explain what signing Cousins to a massive contract and bringing him here would do.

lol Dak is 4 and 0 against cousins and Goff had the worst qb rating in the league in 2016. They are on much better coached teams than Dak.

Goff played in limited games in 2016 during a losing season - Goff is good because has the talent. Dak is who is he because he was a 4th round project that played above expectations in 2016 due to being in a perfect situation.

He sucks. Stop the damn excuses. You folks understand that many QBs go through multiple OCs and HCs and never improve, right?

The thing is the Football Gods smiled down upon us. Not only were we in better position than any QB needy team to make a trade for either the 1st or 2nd pick, we even got to coach Wentz at the Senior Bowl. This was a chance to move seamlessly from one franchise QB to another. No long drought of being a have not in the league. That is an enormous gift and those complete morons that run this team screwed it up.

But wait. There's more. This is the Jones family, after all. They do not, right up to this very minute, realize their mistake. They are completely clueless of it.

You could not possibly run the team any worse than they do. They are that bad. Every instinct they have is wrong.

It's amazing how fast they forget. The system worked pretty good until..... 4

4 went 13 and 3, and would have went 14 and 2 if we took that last game serious. 9 went 12 and 4 and 3 8 and 8 seasons prior

To be fair, Goff was also a rookie. Most QB’s get better with experience.

Except our current one, sadly. He is going the opposite direction.

People would be going nuts right now if we traded multiple 1st round picks in 2016 to get Goff and have him sit while Romo played well now.
Nobody knew he was going to get hurt against Seattle in April.

Seeing some of these teams and their rosters and personnell moves just further highlights how bad this team needs a GM who does nothing but study and be in football inner circles. But hey, we have a couple guys who take a vacation the first week of FA every year because that's when the whole family has off...

If we somehow acquired Carson Wentz, please tell me how he would perform in this system and under this staff.
Wentz would be ruined in Dallas.

The system set up in Philly is perfect for him.

Just like the system in LA is perfect for Goff

As much as I hate your presentation at times. You’re right. They haven’t learned a thing from it. Which tells me history will also repeat itself.

The rams had one of the worst offenses in the league for years prior to goff and with the one year that they did have him. The minute they discard Fisher, that rams offense blows up. Coaching matters.
We haven't had a qb aside from romo, kitna and dak who have had any kind of success under Garrett. I wanted Goff in that draft, but realistically he'd be looking like a bust here, especially since he wouldn't have Zeke. So would Wentz.

Cooper rush also had a monumental decline as well

Cousins isn't an amazing QB, he is a competent QB though. Refer back to my previous post about Goff.

Good/great players can exceed bad coaching even if they don't get W's. Your excuses for Dak are poor, coaches aren't making his mechanics bad, they aren't making him miss wide open players, they have nothing to do with his accuracy problems - that's on the player.
