Jerry Jones wants to win

Too many people talk like they actually KNOW Jerry Jones!

He just LOOKS like an owner who’s happy and relieved, but the “Jerry Equals Gump + Hitler” crowd likes that perception because it fits the agenda of the unhappy fan.

can I just say.... that I absolutely cannot freaking stand the sight of that freaking idiot kid behind Jerry in that gif/pic? Spaulding or whatever.... for years now, the sight of him opens up the receptors in the darkest parts of my brain. dark thoughts. dark thoughts that cannot be repeated on moderated message boards.

I hate him.

It's almost like SJ gave him a ultimatum to FIRE if we lost today, and JJ said sweet cheeks your staying home with Papa!

Jerry wants to be given the credit for building a Super Bowl team more than he wants to win.He wants to be given center stage so he can explain to everyone just how he, Jerry Jones, is the person most responsible for winning. Being the owner who hired the real architect isn't good enough,he has to be acknowledged as that architect. If he could get away with it, he would take credit as the Head Coach in addition to GM and owner. If you catch him on the right day, his interviews have fewer "we"'s and far more "I"'s.

Self-made billionaire, 3-time Super Bowl champion, Pro Football Hall of Famer, turned America's Team into the most valuable sports franchise in the world, captain of NCAA championship team...

Yep, I can see why Jerry gets SO much hate. Pure jealousy.

I'm sure Jerry wants to win. I'm positive that he's elated to see his team post an even record at this formative stage of the season.

This is an extremely happy day for the fans as well as the owner. It's truly an appropriate time to celebrate a much-needed victory.

Despite his "Jocks and Socks" approach, he does want to win, albeit in the most arcane manner.

The argument about Jerry not caring is stupid. Damn right he wants to win.

The "argument" was never about Jerry wanting to win. The debate is and always has been about whether or not he is willing to do what it takes to win. Jerry has said many times that if he wasn't the owner, he would have been fired as GM a long time ago. So, sure Jerry wants to win but there is a qualification....... he has to be front, center, and the most important guy in the room.

To their own demise.

Not bad enough or else we would not have had Garrett as our coach this long

No. Thats not what I am referencing. I am speaking about those who believe Jerry only cares about putting butts in seats. That has been said on here, and I find it to be ridiculous.

I agree. He has more than enough money. Winning a super bowl without Jimmy Johnson's name attached to it is about all he has left in life to accomplish.

What many don't understand is that the PSL's jerry sold at the new stadium pretty much guarantee butts in the seats. PSL holders MUST buy the season ticket packages for their seats or they forfeit the PSL. So, the stadium could be half empty but all the seats are sold. Incidentally, this is why their are so many opposing fans in the stadium. PSL holders are still trying to break even so most sell a bunch of games.

I mean, it’s not a very effective illustration if that argument suggests winning is paramount to these people, but ok. Folks are generally happy on these occasions. And good for Jerry, because, you know, life is swell for the Jones family.

If you don't care for the subject matter or aren't willing to comment based on what the OP said, why post in this thread at all? The OP didn't suggest Jerry was willing to step down as GM or that he was willing to make a dramatic move today regarding the staff and/or personnel to change the fortunes of the team, he was merely showing that Jerry has his emotions as well as his money invested in the success of the team. The video was a very effective illustration of that.

You are correct, He wants to win BUT only if he gets 100% of the credit for it. Jerry the GM is horrible, Jason the HC is terrible and a yes man, the team is basically mediocre year in and year out yet Jerry spews his SB talk and crazy comparisons. Jerry wants to win, but as we all see his way doesn't work so he gets all the credit for the failure teams he has fielded the 20 odd years. If Jerry really wants to win he will step back and hire a GM and let the GM hire a a good HC and supporting staff. Jerry's ego is so large he has to feed it daily, he really is a pathetic figure.
