Let him go, would not sign him. Should have signed Eric Reed before the Panthers if you are really looking to upgrade your safety talent. Would have been the best since Woody.

Well, he's done in Seattle for sure. Jerry will have to decide if he wants to get into the bidding war once he is released.
at this point, i'd say no to ET.

there is zero class in flipping off your team as you're carted off the field. i don't care if seattle "deserved it" - professionals do not do this.

Has anyone confirmed why he flipped off the sideline?
don't care really at this point. i was on the fence about him anyway and flipping off your own team you've been on for so long?

that kind of "class" i just don't want on my team. not my call, no. but i vote move on.

This is exactly why he wanted his extension that he deserved, and that Seattle refused to do so. They fined him for wanting a contract that he had earned with the time and results he had given them. Now he's going into an uncertain free agency with no long term contract.

Truly feel bad for the guy and what Seattle has done to him.

I don't feel sorry for him at all. Someone is going to pay him big bucks next year. Money that you, I and everyone on this board combined won't see in our lifetime.

No, but probably just frustration at the Seahawks upper management and maybe Carrol?

Thomas’ teammates understood his gesture. Linebacker Bobby Wagner’s comment after the game when asked about Thomas’ injury put it in stark terms.

“That’s the crazy part of our business. If he doesn’t come, then he’s not a team player. If he does come and gets hurt, it’s he shouldn’t have come. It’s a position we get put in, often, it’s an unfortunate situation.

“If I was him, I’d be pissed off.”

From what I've read, his 'bird' directed at the entire Seahawk organization for not trading him or extending him. He's now considered 'damaged goods', and in a contract year, that means $ out of his future paychecks. This is EXACTLY why he chose to stay away from team activities and EXACTLY why he preferred to sit out as long as it took. When Seattle started to fine him for missing practices and for missing games, he was given no choice but to put his faith in the front office in hopes that something would get done and he wouldn't wind up in this EXACT situation. See Le'veon Bell. I have no opinion on whether this is the right or wrong way to go about these situations but I truly feel bad for Earl.

There was hardly any contact from what I saw. Earl is damaged goods. His third injury in last couple years. Stay away.

he chose to hold out for more. in doing so, you risk getting hurt and losing out.

you roll the dice vs. take the pay, this can happen. his choice, his problem. to flip off seattle means he doesn't understand his own role in his own actions.

Clearly, you are ignorant of that situation.

1. It was not yet healed when he played against Carolina.
2. Romo's collarbone had a extra bit which made it more susceptible to being torqued. He had that issue taken care of after 2015.

Did you know Rodgers has also broken his collar bone twice? Broken bones happen. It doesn't mean bones are more likely to break in the future after they have healed. And bones aren't on some hit counter where after a certain numner of hits, they break. It can be 2 hits between breaks or 2000, or they could never break if they aren't subject to the right forces.

Correct.

A fracture site typically heals thicker and stronger than it previously was.

People when an NFL team obviously does what is best for them financially, lowballs players, won't extend All-Pros like ET, Bell, etc. - "lol it's a business"

People when NFL player holds out for more money which is a perfectly reasonable thing to do as evidenced here - "lol what an ungrateful ****, he signed a contract"
