One side isn't right or wrong.
I get both points of view and think they are both right.
Earl was a good solider in all of this until the very end but his fear happened and had they just traded him he would've got the money.
NFL career's are short and he'll never get that money back now.
Seattle loses any chance at getting compensation for him too. Not very well played on their part. They gambled and both sides lost.
I get what you’re saying but I blame the player more than the organization. The player agreed to a contract and they should honor it. Some of these guys, like LaVeon are not only screwing over management but more importantly their teammates. Lucky for them they have a decent guy stepping in but, again, imagine if Zeke did that and derailed our season. Do you think many people here would be supporting him? I sure as hell wouldn’t and that goes for any player.
Also, people want to complain about what the Seahawks wanted but if we had the best safety in the league and our fans thought we had an outside chance of making the playoffs, do you think ourfans would be cool wth giving him up for just a 2nd? Doubtful. I don’t think anyone would want to give up Zeke for a 2nd in his final year if they thought we could make a run at the playoffs and top lone safeties are much fewer IMO.
I don’t blame the Seahawks one bit and sure they gambled but that easily could have been any team that acquired him as well and the Seahawks would have looked like geniuses. As you said, both sides lost.
Anyways, the way he handled it from day 1 is a huge turn off. Total jerk and childish.
