Do we have more confidence going to Houston now?

Id like to think so. We avoided going 1-3 with our biggest outburst offensively this year.

In the NFL your often only as good as the last game. Good news is we face another 1-3 team Sunday. One which avoided starting 0-4. And looking to save their season.

How big is this week for us with Jaguars looming next week? A loss to Houston and we will be facing potentially 2-4.

It’s nice to enjoy our win but the pressure continues if we are intent staying in the race.

I think we’d all be feeling much better at 3-2 and worse case scenario of 3-3.
Not really. We look like exactly like a Jason Garrett coached team 500.

They have to be more confident after the lions game. Well out together game against a team that was on a high after beating up the pats.

We need to get out there and jump on them and don’t let off.

I'm very confident they beat Houston. The Cowboys know how to beat bad teams. The offense plays well against unorganized defenses. The Texans are giving up 27 points per game (22nd overall in yards given up). The 3-13 Giants beat them at home. Should be easy pickings for this week.

Never underestimate the importance of these types of games for JG, JJ, and the league. The Cowboys must remain relevant for as much of the season as possible (even if they are just average). Keeps people tuning in to the games, which is paramount to the league and JJ. The league's worst case scenario would be a string of losses that basically removes playoffs as legitimate possibility.

A 2-5 record heading into the bye would mean a mass exodus from watching the rest of the games this season. The officials will give the Cowboys the benefit of the doubt on 50/50 penalties against weaker opponents especially in critical situations. Gives people a reason to tune in.
Ah yes, the tin foil hat conspiracy theory.

Well done!

The players? Hopefully. As a fan I won’t have any confidence until I see some consistency over several games. They haven’t even put back to back good games together yet.

You think the league and JJ don't have a vested interest in keeping people tuned into the Cowboys? Look at television ratings, which is this league's bread and butter.

Do you not notice how few games end in blowouts? Or how even the ones that do typically do not materialize till after the first half? It isn't just parity.

The officials will start siding with the losing team during the game. Every single 50/50 call starts going to the losing team. I watch tons of other games and it is apparent. If one team looks like they will jump way ahead early or does it, the calls or non-calls will start skewing to the losing side. No way to prove my opinion of course without firm evidence.

It does seem as if the Cowboys get more favorable calls when they have a break-even or losing record.

not a lot of confidence they barely beat a team that is 1 and3 it took so much effort from zeke not so sure he can do that every week someone else on the offense is going to have to step up
What he said...at this time in the season, looking at how this team has under performed, and that's week in and out, I do not place a lot of hope they can come to H town and not lay an egg...hoping I'm wrong, cause like Diehard said, jags are coming and it aint gonna be easy.

This is actually the weakest part of our schedule with three 1-3 teams in first 5 games.
Houston was 4-12 last season, no JJ and lost Watson midway... they have both back now, and Watson is as mobile as Dak in the pocket. That being said Die, no one knew ANY of these teams would be 1-3 teams, no one. It could just as well they were 3-0 teams, I mean we say this is our weakest part of the schedule, but none would have said that 2 season back... Texans were a pretty damn good team making the PO's...

wonder if he takes this game personally?

This is one of the few games I’ve had confidence in since the preseason and it hasn’t gotten better or worse since last week. Their O line is horrendous and they’re lucky to even have one win. I don’t buy the “their fans will be pumped theory” because their fans aren’t playing and won’t make up the for difference in talent we have over them. I haven’t posted my score prediction yet but it I could easily see us winning by 10 points. From a betting standpoint, I’ll be all over this game.

The Lions can't stop the run - they were worst in the league entering the Cowboys game. Houston is top-10.

The Houston game will influence my confidence in this team a lot more than the Detroit game.

Do I think the league would like the Cowboys to remain relevant? Yes I do.

Do I think the refs are going to give the Cowboys the benefit of the doubt on 50/50 penalties in an effort to keep them relevant? No I do not.

Do I think the league will give a mandate to the refs to give the Cowboys the benefit of the doubt on 50/50 penalties to support their wishes the Cowboys remain relevant? No I do not.

Fairly confident..Bill OBrien makes Garrett look like Tom Landry

I don't think players care about that anymore. You won't see any Harvey Martin types throwing wreaths into the opposing teams locker rooms. I think the bulletin board thing has died out.

This should be a fair test for both sides of the ball.

A win vs Houston will be a big step toward getting this season turned around.

I live in the Houston area and their fan's hate for the Cowboys is real so the place will be rocking Sunday night. It's going to be a tough one.
Yep, this is the Super Bowl for the Houston Texan fans.
