Jerry Jones wants to win

He cares about money people and that's it. Look at the last 20 plus years. He keeps feeding you same BS and people keep buying it. He doesn't care who's sitting in the stands as long as they are full. Cmon people he's a business man.
Only way they will win is people stop paying him. Dallas doesn't have to win so why would he even try.

But, he only wants to win HIS WAY.

If he REALLY wanted to win, he'd shell out some of his precious $$$ and hire the BEST GM in the league and let him hire HIS coach and make HIS personnel decisions.

In that instance, Jerry would likely win a ton of games and perhaps, gulp, even a championship.

But, as we all know, he will never do it.

So yeah, he wants to win, but not do everything it takes to win.

You got it brother just like many hobbies insanely rich guys take on . They could easily pay somebody to do a much better job but then its not there hobby anymore and they don't get the satisfaction they need from it .

Man, I absolutely cannot comprehend how anyone can believe that winning is Jerry's first order. He's done everything he can to prove otherwise.
He wants to win, his problem is he truly believes he is a football mastermind genius and he really believes he has a Superbowl contender every year and it's never his fault things turned sour. You are 100% correct in he has done everything he can to prove otherwise, the problem is JJ doesn't see it that way. He really personifies, insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.

LOL this team was 13-3 just TWO seasons ago. They went 9-7 last year (despite adversity and distractions) and are .500 after 4 games this year.

But by all means, keep pretending we’re a disgracefully terrible football team that barely belongs in the NFL, thanks to Jerry “the ogre” Jones.

Why wasn’t anyone ripping Jones/Garrett to shreds in 2016?????? Or 2014???? Or 2009???? Or 2007????

Fans are funny. And jealousy is real. Keep doing you, Jerry.

I thought Jerrah/Jason/Scott/Rod were bad in 2014/2016 and 2009. You can do a bad job and still have a good season in spite of it if you have enough talent and lucky bounces.

LOL “if you have enough talent”. Who’s responsible for talent acquisition?

Naw, it couldn’t be the front office or the coaches!!!!

Dak was a 4th-round rookie who took over as the starter in August and went 13-3. But nobody should get any credit for that!!!!! All luck and too much talent!!!!

And our opponents (like Green Bay in the playoffs) NEVER caught any lucky breaks, those were all reserved for Dallas!!!! LOLLLLLLLLL

Dak was the luckiest pick we will ever see. Jerry wanted wentz, eagles moved up and got him. Jerry wanted Paxton Lynch, thank god no teams like to trade with us. Jerry wanted connor cook. Lets thank the raiders for moving up1 pick ahead of us. They could have taken dak with the first 4th round pick but they took tapper instead. Waited until the comp 4th round pick to take a QB and it was Dak. Jerry thought he was buying leftovers when it was really a gourmet meal. The last thing I will ever do is give the front office credit for that pick. If it were up to Jerry & co. we would have been riding with Paxton lynch.

Jerry doesn't care about winning his family treats the team like their play thing. When i see kids running around the war room while the draft is going on or inviting the governor to call his third round pick it disgusts me. Reminds of the scene in django when they are showing off their fighters.

17-30 over 3 years isn’t “in the gutter? Um, if you say so.

Jones owns the team. He is not an employee like Landry was. You seem bitter about Jerry’s lofty status.

Landry won 2 rings in 29 seasons (0 in his last ELEVEN seasons). Jimmy won 2 rings in 5 seasons. You seem bitter about that too.
I don't care about Jones's "lofty" status.I care that he has taken my love for the Cowboys hostage for the past decade and forced me to watch a once proud team turn into the epitome of mediocrity.

Landry won 0 Super Bowls in his past eleven seasons, that is true. If you are using that as a basis to declare the Cowboys were in the trash can then the fact that Jones's Cowboys hasn't won one in the past 22 seasons means the trash can was emptied and the contents are now festering in some dump. I don't believe that any more than your original declaration. You seem proud of the fact that Jones has made so much money off you. I don't remember what that trophy looks like.

As a fan, I look forward to watching the games and I want them to win and get back to a Super Bowl. Jerry has proven to be the greatest detriment to that goal. If you look at the recent champions, indeed, if you look at every single champion in history, how many owners can you name? How many of them are on trading cards? If they were then I would trade a hundred Jerry Jones's for just one that would keep his freakin' mouth shut.

Things happen in the draft. Oh well. You think Tom Brady was the Patriots master plan in the 6th Round???

Jerry’s also responsible for DeMarcus Ware. Parcells wanted Marcus Spears at #11.

Robert Kraft is the best owner in the NFL. That organization is what the Cowboys used to be like.

Were they the “epitome of mediocrity” when they went 13-3 just 2 seasons ago? Or 2 seasons before that?

LOL you defend Landry’s 3 straight LOSING seasons and then you have the nerve to slam the Cowboys of the “past decade”??? Really????

How many times have the Cowboys had 3 straight LOSING seasons under Jerry??? Just once, and then he hired Bill Parcells after year 3 of that. Just like he hired Jimmy after Landry’s team stunk up the joint for 3 straight years.

Name recent championship owners? Sure! Off the top of my head: Bob Kraft, Paul Allen, Jeff Lurie, Pat Bowlen, Art Rooney, John Mara, Tom Benson... that long enough of a list for you? And they all got their glory just like Jerry got his.

“For just one that would keep his freakin’ mouth shut”

LOLLLL so the owner/GM should shut up because you say so??? Sounds like something a jealous/bitter person would say. You just told on yourself.

Look Brady is a product of Belichek not the other way around. Dak is not the product of JG or Linehan big difference. Yeh let's point out 1 good move from jerry now lets go find all the bad. I don't have that much time on my hands at the moment though.

Is this Charlotte, Stephen, or Jerry Jr.? Or maybe one of the grandkids?

Mark Schlereth on Speak For Yourself today

It's one thing to appoint a coach, it is another to empower a coach.

Not sure if truer words have been spoken about Jerry Jones' tenure with the Cowboys. Jimmy was the only coach he truly empowered to run things.

You sound bitter, jealous and upset about the INCREDIBLE life Jerry has lived, both personally and professionally.

The Cowboys could win this year’s Super Bowl and you still wouldn’t give Jerry his due. I’m certain of that.

Damn right I am. Have a professional football team as a play thing that I used my in laws money to buy. Everyone here would love that setup. He still sucks as a GM and owner tho.
