20 years from now we’ll still have the “if Romo” threads.

Why don’t we have “if Landry” or “if Jimmy Johnson” threads?

What the hell is the fascination?
During those years we had Quincy QB'ing I don't remember no outcry for Troy to come back. About the same thing. A QB great who had to leave the game because of injuries. The difference was Troy actually won something.

The one benefit of him coming back would be for the people living in denial and fantasy world to see first hand and reminded of why we never won anything with him.

Maybe they’ll finally shut up after that but doubtful, just more excuses.

Living in denial. Dak was brought here to back up Romo until it was proven Romo couldn't stay healthy anymore. Year after year wasted on a QB that couldn't stay on the field. When Romo got hurt in 2016 I was angry because I thought oh great another wasted season. We saw what happened in 2015 when we had nothing backing Romo up. Dak was a surprise. I called him another Quincy Carter when we drafted him. I was wrong then. He was making plays. Nothing like Manning when he won his last SB. Manning couldn't do what Dak did his last year.Dak could move and make plays with his feet too. Can you picture Manning doing that?No matter what happens with Dak going forward ( and I have my doubts about him) keeping him as starter was 100% the right decision.

The NY media will agree with you, I happen to disagree. Dak will have a hard time finding a job for his second contract, IMO.

I can’t believe there are people who actually believe plying golf recreationally, is harder on the body than playing in the National Football League.

:facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:

I get it. People miss Romo. That’s fine. He was a lot of fun to watch. But quit lying to yourself people.

Who said recreationally? He was just at PGA Q-school. Go swing the club 400x over 4 days at over 100mph, then check out your back, lmao. The force and twist vs. impact are two very different things. I played college football and play tournament golf, there really is no comparison on the back, golf is a killer. The clavicle would be the concern for Romo.

Now that's a different discussion. But remember Garrett has lasted 8 plus years without winning anything so don't discount Jerry and his loyalty. If Dak doesn't show great improvement this year I'll be ready to move on. Has nothing to do with 2016 though.

Go get hit by a 300 pound man at full speed, about 10 times a game while trying to throw a football, and then check out your back.
I had more problems with my back playing baseball and lacrosse than I did playing football as DL and FB in HS.

1. Lacrosse is a violent sport also.

2. That’s high school. Not the NFL. They aren’t even comparable.

Impact vs torgue/twist two different things.

Exactly, two different things. Which makes your assertion that his back is healthy enough to play NFL football, based on his ability to golf, is flat out wrong. Because they are two completely different things.

The risk of injury while playing golf can be minimized because you are swinging the club in a controlled environment and you can use proper form when swinging, to minimize the risk of injury.

There is no proper form for being leveled by a 300 pound man, while simultaneously trying to throw a football.

IF they come (not happening) back something tells me the Cowboys would still finish 8-8 or 9-7.

His back is as healthy as any other 38 year old QB if he's playing golf like he is.

So one cannot not get seriously injured a like broken collarbone or injured back in HS football because its not the NFL. Your logic is missing a few 1s and 0s. A basic understanding of biomechanics...nevermind.
