So, something you lot may not know about me is that I'm a Dr. Who fan. There's a massive marathon on BBC America at this time, and a new season begins Sunday. Looking forward to it.

I've only watched maybe 3 episodes (from different generations of the life of the show) in my entire life.
I've always thought about diving in, but I just haven't.

It's really a brilliant show. It's a bit like the Twilight Zone and Back to the Future, but better than both.

I started watching Twilight Zone with the wife.
I think she likes it better than I.

You really have to start from the beginning of the modern series or you'll be lost for a while.

It is a guilty pleasure type of show, kind of like Buffy. You know it's stupid and cheesy, but it's also genius at the same time.

Freaking loved the Buffy movie.
Never watched the show, but I'm certain the writer was the same...

Eh, when they announced the switch to a female Doctor, I lost interest. I hate changing precedent for the sake of social justice warrioring. I'd have watched a separate series with a female lead in the same universe, but changing the character like that? Meh.

I savvy, but what if it makes for a more compelling story, running forward, as far as the being that is Dr. Who? Who I always thought shouldn't even be considered human...
Much less a gender.
