BREAKING NEWS:

Troy Aikman says he's healthier than he's ever felt, so he's leaving the broadcast booth and resigning with the Dallas Cowboys!

Would love this. Even as an old man, Troy would carve these defenses up. And now the QBs are overly protected and the field is soft, Aikman would be just fine. Wouldn't have to worry about any concussions. Super Bowl here we come!!! :lmao:

Why would they leave Witten out of the party? He may be the one they actually need the most. If Romo came back, I’m sure he would want Witten to come with him and I bet Witten would want to as well.

As much as I would love that it seems like a pipe dream. At the very least, I do hope Jerry and Co have some regrets with how they handled things. Romo wanted a chance to compete and regain his starting role. Live and learn.

It looks like Romo & Cowboys just missed this new NFL. There is no doubt that Romo would be top 5 QB with sustainable elite numbers and protection from hits. Combine that with this Defense & Zeke and I think Dallas would be contender yearly. Just missed it.

The hit that ended the Romo era would be a legal hit under today’s rules. He got injured because he scrambled trying for positive yards in a meaningless preseason game.

Romo is 38 and mistake prone. I know a lot of you guys weren't around, probably young, and hadn't seen or experienced a real QB, but just be patient. I'm certain that if we suck this year, Jerry will sell the farm to get a top rated QB in the draft. But please, let Romo RIP. (retire in peace)

No , Romo isn't mistake prone, you are...STILL.

Romo has a better INT% than Staubach, Aikman, Favre, Marino & Elway - which means (I"ll break it down for you) he was LESS mistake prone than any of those guys during their career.

Too bad Romo was a "real quarterback." Maybe he could've let the team in virtually every statistical metric there is.
Too bad he wasn't real enough to be the 4th highest rated QB of all time.
To bad he was real enough to make 4-12 teams 8-8 and 8-8 teams playoff worthy.

No, we all experienced a "real" Quarterback, we just live with a fantasyland front office, GM and coach.

One last thing...

Feel free to guarantee us that any "top rated" college player will be even half as successful as Romo. Go ahead, just go out to the quarterback tree and pick one - any one, they are everywhere.

That's the real fantasy part - that you 5%ers automatically think whoever gets drafted will be successful. And don't forget to be ready to give up the farm to get into position to get one.

I don't know why I continue to do this. It's like I know you're smart enough to understand but you refuse accept it and then you continue to embarrass yourself with these posts.

I'm trying to help you not look so bad but you continue to bite the hand that feeds you.

I don't think there is a shot in hell of this ever happening but hey let me add some fuel to the fire:

didn't Romo pick the number nine based on some baseball story about a player who makes a great comeback or was a long shot or something?

Romo's come back will just be part of the Kardashians joneses master plan of drama, years in the making, it's all going according to plan!

Just finished listing to Podcast with KT and he is hearing whispers from Ben Rogers (who has been correct several times & has good sources) that following might transpire in next week or so:

1. Tony Romo & Dez Bryant might be signed. Dallas currently has $18 million in available cap space.
2. Current league rules on QB would heavily favor Romo return.
3. Dez Bryant continues to insist with Mike Fisher that he still sees himself as Dallas Cowboy.

Buckle in. The internet will break if this goes down.

My question, is Rogers whispering or yelling. Wake me up when he yells and it had better be louder than all the ET whispers from January until a week ago. Add Witten and we'll have the triumvirate of BS

Really?

What constitutes crazier than this ridiculous rumor, purported strictly as a cry for attention?
I once jumped from the roof of one building (the Driskill) to another almost 25 years ago...
That was pretty crazy.
