I can't do it anymore...i can't come on this board and see all of this lazy and useless analysis.

Every pass that isn't perfect is hyper anayzed and overly critiqued to being Dak's fault. Ooooohhhhhh....that ball to Austin requires him to raise his and and jump....and? Did you watch the Texans catching balls all over the place? Did you watch any other nfl games where guys are catching balls all over the place?

Newsflash....we have NO weapons. Who is our guy we are going to with any consistency on 3rd and 7? Who is beating coverage? Nobe of them do it. Not even Beasely.

A few points to ponder:
* we are a running team with a ton invested in the OL and RB. We were ineffective in the run game.
*Both interceptions hit the wrs in the hands.

*Dak Bashers....at this point in Romo's career...he was still carrying a clip board and didn't start his first game until a few more weeks.

It is a travesty how we have given this young qb nothing to work with. I fear we are ruining him with the crapshow we have surrounded him with.
Dak stop posting here!!!!! what's next Dak is better than Troy because he had a better first year, Roger carried a clipboard his first year = Dak is better. Don road the bench 3 years = Dak is better, what past QB's or or other QBs did does not matter, what Dak does matters. The simple fact is Dak is not very good, plain and simple, every QB has a bad game every now and then, most don't build a successful career with games like Dak has game in and game out. By your logic he is better than Tom Brady because Tom rode the bench his first year. The problem starts with the QB and ends with him in this case.

I'm all for having Dak carry a clipboard for a while.

I've been pulling for Dak (and still am) but come on
Who is making plays for him?

Who on the team turns nothing into something?

Pretty sad that Swaim, who is the worst starting TE in the league, is the only one with any sort of YAC the last two games.

All this is great but Dak looked the same last year with Dez and Witten. Of course then people said that all the WRs including Beasley declined at the same time.

What's different from his rookie year? Defenses stack the middle, take away inside routes, and force Dak to throw to the outside. Dak has not shown he can do that with any consistency. Just look at his rating on 3rd down passing situations.

Instead of trying to get Dak to throw to the outside to open things up, they have opted for go routes, which Dak does throw well. Go routes though require time so defenses are blitzing and Dak is lost. Pocket awareness is bad. Doesn't throw the ball to the hole left by the blitz, and it's only because he is a good runner that he has been able to keep anything going.

How many sideline passes did Watson throw last night? Several. We can argue about Dak forever but he isn't going to make it in this league without being able to hit WRs to the outside 10-20 yards down field. Nothing changes until he can do that or isn't our QB anymore.

A lot of people on here that know football about as well as I know Ancient Egyptian history
I know both. The red haired blue eyed mummies are more closely related to the Population of England then they are to any one living on the continent of Africa

Team game for sure.
I'd never argue that.

But he's not been very good himself either.
Those WRs are not THAT terrible. And we do have Zeke.

For example, it's not like Russell Wilson has been playing with all stars this year either. But he's doing just fine

For all of the Dak haters:

So what was the solution for the Cowboys not competing for SBs with Tony Romo?

The Cowboys needed to upgrade the QB position with a Brady type QB?

Dak would be the backup on 29 our of 32 teams out there.

There was a reason we didn't bring in any competition at QB this year. Blake Bortles or Landry Jones would beat out Dak in a fair competition here. HC and FO just didn't want to prove how stupid they were in the off season.
That's the problem because they didn't want to prove how stupid in the off season. Now as fans we have to suffer through the whole season.

Dak can still be a winning NFL QB with the right coaching, and with an OC that will call plays based on his strengths instead of weaknesses. Unfortunately for Dak and us fans, that isn't happening in Dallas.

Exactly.

Don't let the stats get in the way.

So you think he (Bortles) is a good QB and is a big reason they went to the AFC championship?

The statement was that Dak was another Bortles. It's not a question if if he's a good quarterback or not, it's a question of whether we feel the Cowboys can win with Dak. If Bortles can do it, why can't Dak, even if he's "terrible"....

I think that would be a question for Romo haters, not Dak haters...unless you meant both.

The upgrades for Romo were guys like Brees, Brady, Rodgers..truly elite guys like that.. So very unrealistic.
The current upgrade for Dak, unfortunately, is a list much longer than that.

I'd buy your argument that he's a good QB if his stats were more middling. But he's ranked near the bottom of the league in most categories. That's a testament to his overall issues on top of who he is playing with.

To suggest otherwise is just having Dak blinders on.

- Coaching.

- Defense was pretty shoddy during those Romo years as well.

There is no question that Romo was a better QB than Dak. So I hope that's not the argument people are trying to make.

And this "dak hater" crap needs to stop. It's intellectually laziness to just write off fair and accurate criticisms of him as just coming from a place of hate. When people have to resort to that type of garbage it's pretty much a sign that the person is now scraping the bottom of the Dak defense barrel.
