Some..but way from being all.

There are a good number of people who don't like Dak because they gave the job to him instead of Romo getting it back.

I would change one thing about that statement

"instead of Romo being allowed to compete to get it back"

For the record, I think he should have been the starter the minute he was cleared to go. But the fact that he wasn't even given a shot to earn it, once healthy, is a total travesty and always will be imo

I'll let you in on a little secret...

the same people who thought that Romo sucked and was a total cancer, are the same people defending Dak and his 172 ypg passing production.

They're all in, and it will be a cold day in hell before they admit they were horribly wrong about both Romo, and Dak.
Both = JAGs. I want Super Star.

I’m sure that’s the case but it’s silly to hold that against Dak. Those fans issues should be on who made that decision.

Respectfully disagree w/regards to Romo.
He wasn't Brady by any stretch, but for a good share of his career he was a championship caliber QB on (for the most part) pedestrian teams.
He was not a championship caliber QB at any point in his career. If he was a Championship caliber QB, then so was Dak, and we know Dak isn't.

This board is bizarre to me. Romo has the 4th best passer rating all time -- all time -- and so many people hated him and thought he sucked. Now we have a QB who struggles to pass over 200 yards a games for over a season and droves of people are defending him like it's other guys fault.
It represents the petty agendas we have on Social Media. It’s not as reflective of Cowboys Nation which these forums don’t always reflect.

Assuming all of these members are Cowboy fans then in many of these cases they’d rather be right than win. They become dug in on their narrative and opinions.

Dak is not the same guy as 2016
He may not make it in the NFL.
That said I hate to evaluate anybody on this offense until the OC and HC and our pre school qb coach are gone. I don't know whom is responsible for his new throwing motion but he is not the same guy as 2016 in accuracy or power.

Championship caliber wasn’t a good description leaving it open for criticism such as this but I certainly don’t recall Romo leading a bottom tier offense nor near the bottom of the league Qb rankings at anytime including less than great surrounding support.

Romo most seasons was a top 10-15 QB not 25th -30th.

People are defending him because they desperately want him to be the guy. It’s so hard to find a QB in today’s NFL, people want to cling to the hope we had in 2016.

That’s fair. I think probably does apply to a good portion of fans. The Rookie season provided much hope.

I'm so damn confused on all the bash dak threads popping up. Are we seriously blaming him for yesterday? He's to blame for some losses so far. But yesterday? Really?
