THANK YOU AND AMEN!!! FINALLY, SOMEONE WITH EYES TO SEE WITH. Dak is playing with practice squad hot garbage at wr. The routes last night were GAWD awful, then the ones that were good, they couldn't catch the ball. Like the Tavon tipped pass. That dude has to catch that...its the NFL. those CATCHES must be routine.
Then we are forced to watch Hopkins make finger tip and sliding catches while our guys tip it to the other team . Not hard to see why Dak dosent want to throw it into tight windows . Nobody can make a play !!

The problem with his 4th quarter comebacks is that most were against teams you aren’t going to face in the playoffs. It mostly occured against teams we shouldn’t have had to come back on.
A lot of his comebacks were because he made mistakes early in the game and had to overcome his own mistakes . The real Captain Comeback overcame mistakes the rest of the team made .

Yes and during that stretch Dak had 3 games where he through for over 300 yrds however one of those was added by a 82 yrd screen play. So he had the best OL in the league a HOF TE a very good receiver in Dez and still couldn't throw for 300 consistently. That screams backup.

Ignoring Dak's rookie year which was a pretty big anomaly statistically, Dak had a 2.7% interception rate last year and has a 2.8% interception rate so far this year.

That's awesome

And how about that 1:1 td to int ratio?

Taking care of the ball means nothing if you can't make any plays with it

Dak needs a #1 WR like below who will make the defense pay if they gang up against the run, blitz, or make a mistake in the secondary.

Honest question:

What about Dez? We had him and was run out of town because he wasn't Dak friendly....

I'm a huge dak fan.....but I'm getting really tired of his inability to stretch the defense and make chunk plays with his passing game. His pocket awareness and passing anticipation sucks seriously. The coaches need to give him a game where the offensive game plan is all out passing. Get the interception jitters / scared to throw down field over the middle jitters out. If not just trade him for a bag of rice already.

Dez could be a #2 at best when playing with a #1... He is definitely not a #1 anymore.

Take a look at how wide open this #2 WR got

I like Dak because he gives back to the community and ESPN says he’s amazing.

These are the most important attributes to today’s QBs

fight the power!

In perfect stride. Man, I miss those days.

Yep, I believe this was the game the Cowboys inducted Tom Landry into the ROH.

I wish the FO use the draft and free agency to upgrade the team’s talent at multiple positions... with the goal of building a SB contending team... instead of trying to get by with below average to average players.

“Thanks to head coach Jimmy Johnson's ability to find talent in the draft, the Cowboys had assembled a remarkable collection of young players, and seemed poised to become the league's greatest dynasty. But there was trouble in paradise.

Just days after the Super Bowl victory, Johnson walked away from the Cowboys due largely to owner/general manager Jerry Jones' desire to be more actively involved in player personnel moves. Both men also wanted credit for the team's success.”

And yet this "#2" caliber receiver has more td catches than anyone in franchise history, including those other #1s you keep linking videos of

I'll admit it. I'm stumped. How does a middle of the road receiver do that. Must have had a heckuva qb throwing passes to him all those years

News flash.

He’s an average QB. Blame the coaches or WRs or TEs all you want, and yes, they have their own issues, but Dak is an average NFL QB.
Well I would almost agree with you but he brings the average down. He is a good backup though

Pick a scapegoat: Jerry, JG, Linehan, Dak. The bottom line is the Cowboys are not contenders...again.

Could Dak have played better? Sure, no doubt.

But I went back and watched the highlight film. Why did the Texans win the game? It wasn't because of Dak's shortcomings, that didn't help but what happened to cause the loss was:

1. Watson should have been sacked at least 5 times. EVERY time, he was able to evade the sack, and throw the ball away or to an OPEN receiver.
2. Cowboys secondary could not tackle Hopkins. He's a great receiver, he slipped through tackle after tackle, he took an 8 yard throw and ran it for 20-30 yards on multiple occasions.
3. Zeke ran the ball, once again, only 18 times in regulation. Was always a close game, it's not like it was a blowout and the Cowboys needed to score quickly. Last game he got the ball 25 times and guess what? Cowboys WIN. Stupid coaching (again).
4. Failure to go for the 1st in OT. The Cowboys were doing pretty well, both defenses were tired, and you have a 235 lb qb and 225 rb, USE THEM. Multiple ways to get one yard, Dak hadn't been stopped at all on any runs, Brady sneaks for first downs every game, usually several times, and is successful nearly every time. It's NOT THAT HARD>
5. Gaping holes for the Texans rbs to go through, often times were barely touched. The ypc is low because of several tackles for a loss but many runs they had clear sailing.

In short better play by Dak in this game may have won the game, but in future games, the above shortcomings will still result in losses.

Quarterbacks aren't the only guy on the field, Dak doesn't have the team around him, at this time, to win many games, even if he plays much better. Just saying blaming Dak for all of the Cowboys' losses isn't helping anything...

Someone that is actually writing the truth. Dak is solid but he is not going to take us to the promise land. It will be interesting to see if he gets an extension.
Are you guys out of your mind? He is not getting an extension. Why would anyone pay him starter money.
Dak will be in the league 10 more years and make a great living as a step in starter, he should not be regulated to a clipboard holder forever, but he is also not a franchise qb level.
I would equate him to a Peuller, Hogeboom type guy.
