He does. The ball has to get out fast, and not waiting after the guy breaks,or be sailing around over and under. But at least he’s not a big turnover guy,and can do it because I’ve seen good throws, but the mechanics and anticipation will need work.

Don’t look now but starting with 2017 he is kind of a big turnover guy...

I think some of you are taking this way out of context. He isnt saying he's bad. Buck was on tv arguing with somebody and said Troy loves Dak and what he does.
He changed his mind I believe. After seeing the last game, I guess that's what did it.

He's saying Dak is innaccurate and has bad anticipation. He never used the word "bad"

He said

Can't throw accurately
Does not throw with anticipation
Does not read defenses well

Sort of the 3 cardinal traits of a good QB

Other than that he's great
lol he didnt say he doesnt read defenses well. He said he's not anticipating the throw based on what the defense is doing. He's basically holding on to the ball too long. And he said "there needs to be a little bit more anticipation". Exact quote.

Daks problems come as somebody posted yesterday, he might just have too much size on him to be able to have proper mechanics. We saw this with Mcnabb. But the team got around that by surrounding him with capable WRs. Something this team doesnt have. This team has a group of backups and slot guys trying to play the outside. And are getting eaten up, no matter what Allen Hurns says.

Boom. Exactomundo.

He also said that accuracy was the #1 trait.

  • The first thing you look for is accuracy, because the rest of it doesn’t matter
  • It doesn’t matter how tough you are, or how smart you are, or how great a leader you are if you can’t put the ball where you need to

McNabb has Owens for one season and a half. Granted that one full season was their SB season.

The rest of his time there he played with WRs like we have - James Thrash, Todd Pinkston, etc. He still put up some good seasons with that garbage.

Won't matter to his supporters. They are the same people that didn't believe him when he said Romo was a better QB than he was. Doesn't fit their narrative so he will be dismissed as a know-nothing 3 time Super Bowl Champ.

I'm a supporter and believe everything Aikman said.

I think you're right -- Troy was actually complementing Dak and thinks he is the QB of the future.
